I love The Apothecary Diaries so much and I love all the different characters in it so much, especially Maomao and Jinshi, but I really wanna talk about the Emperor.

This man is so interesting. His father is was an actual p3d0, he took in one of his father’s child brides after he ascended the throne and she was sent to a monastery, he banned the practice of forced castration of male servants, he had a child with his best friend, he really really likes big boobs, he’s a girl dad, he lets Maomao do whatever she wants including things she legally cannot be doing because he knows that she’s good at what she does and that none of his children would even be alive if not for her, and also because he really really wants her to marry his brother-son.

He’s supposed to be the most important and serious dude in the whole series, but he’s just a funny old man. I like him.
