console.log(”hello world!”)
So last night, I went to a local Tech meet up at Wynwood Diner hosted by Bluebeta. It was a great time and I got to meet some really interesting people in different companies. The thing that really caught my eye was the Microsoft Holo Lens that was being demoed by a local dev shop called Spinteractive. My mind was blown by what I saw and the potential this tech as for the future. I was told it was programmed in C# and Unity. My friends and I all agreed that we should learn those languages soon since we didn’t want to miss the train leave the station.

Hello World!

Hello,
Thank you for stopping by my blog, my name is Luis Mejia I am a Miami native and recent graduate of WynCode Academy. I decided to start this blog to chronicle my progress and transition from a hobbyist into a professional developer. For a little background info, I graduated from FIU with a BA in Political Science and was not able to find a job so I took whatever job I could to pay my bills. I used to work for a local health insurance company after working in a credit card processing firm, but I was always dissatisfied with the work as my brain was not being used to its potential. After a few years I decided I needed a change in careers and would turn my hobby into a profession. So I quit my job 11 weeks ago, enrolled in a local coding boot camp and have enjoyed every moment since. It has been an exhausting few weeks, but every stressful moment, every challenge I encountered, and every hour of missed sleep has been worth it.
