To be honest, the rate at which this meeting was happening was a little too slow for the boy's interest. His patience never was in abundance, and he found it running thin quite fast as the situation became boring, idiotic, and unproductive.
"Okama, why don’t you go first? After all, it’s best to get rid of the most useless if we want to get far. Sacrificing!! Used to it, aren’t you?"
That was the stupidest idea he'd ever heard.
“I’m afraid that going all by my lonesome is a no-go. It’s just asking for something to happen, and so! We’ll do this!”

-- ? "Hm?"
Without his permission, hands of the man in heels interlocked with his own above his head--- so above his head that his toes very nearly lifted right off the ground. He struggled quite a bit to remain there, ability to stay grounded exhausted when the stranger's strength was unbelievably surpassing his own.
"Hey-- Hey, I didn't give you permission to do that--" Demands played unheard in the air, though the teen was placed back down soon enough. He'd be teamed with this disrespectful adult, and while it wasn't the energetic, and very cute girl they'd landed together with, he could at least be thankful he wasn't stuck with the idiot. He could deal with this, along with the promise of switching up the teams later.
"You can let go already," Karma intoned with an underlying of command. He wasn't a very touchy-feely person at all, and for contact to continue, it was beginning to ruin his mood. The walk down the first hallway was not to be a comfortable one, that's for sure.
He would remain quiet until spoken to, opting to listen for any and all sounds present in the illuminated space and beyond. With O.D. leading him along, he allowed eyelids to slide shut to heighten his other senses, even if by only a tad. They had to be prepared for anything, and plans needed to be formulated.

G-G-G-GO TEAM BIRD [event | karma/berg-katze/O.D.]
They talked of fun, of what sorts of adventures they would have inside of the maze. It was honestly sickening, especially the tone the two it knew used— which, had been their regular voices. Oh, if only it could avoid those mocking smiles that displayed their delight. Before Berg-Katze was able to retaliate, to defend itself against the presumptions that every single one of them there would even possibly have a chance befriending it in any way, the boy in front of it had spoken, a shot at the wall proving it.
Tilting it’s head, it grinned in a twisted fashion, the realization that it was stuck in there was dreadful, but it would not die. Hajime, O.D. and this Karma will scream at some point, it assumed. The only thing that kept it motivated, against these sudden feelings pushed onto it was that thought. Placing it’s hands behind it’s back in a passive way, it took a few steps that resembled skips, pointing in the direction of where they should go.
"Let’s go here! That’s fine, riiiight ~? You want me to cooperate, riiight ~?"
Putting a finger on it’s chin, Berg-Katze feigned innocence and cooperation, although it knew that the act would not get through to the other alien, but for some reason, Hajime trusted it, and there was always the new kid.
"Okama, why don’t you go first? After all, it’s best to get rid of the most useless if we want to get far. Sacrificing!! Used to it, aren’t you?"

Well. Well, well, well. He would fit right in with these people, eccentric as they were all on their own. He never fit in with anyone other people might call "normal", and it rarely occurred to him that this was fact. He simply clicked with people or he didn't. To say he'd get along with each of them was too soon for an accurate call, but in the very least, he could expect the same level of enthusiasm as himself, give or take a bit of whining here and there.
Features remained in the same smile as every party member kept up their talk, gathering what little information he could from what was provided. Silently acknowledging the names of the others in him company, he moved on immediately to his own comments. "Don't worry, mazes are one my favourite games, so there's no way we'll lose. None of us will be dying, either. Nothing productive will come out of us not winning, so we can all agree to get out of here in one piece, yeah?"
From beneath the fabric of his black jacket--
-- Bang! Bang! Bang!
-- appeared the very BB gun he was granted upon his arrival in the city, just as well handled as the one he used at home. Three pellets, their release from the barrels creating a sound half as loud as a gun shot (and doubled by the close proximity of the surrounding maze walls), imbedded themselves into the dead-end wall behind them. He waited, smile still present, as the wall warped and repaired itself with a small electric buzzing noise. Each metallic bullet was spat out onto the floor the same style as the walls, and rolled to an eventual stop some centimeters away.
"Well, looks like the walls can't be taken down. They fix themselves, imagine that." Steps were taken to the self-repaired fraction of the barrier, signet lighting his path and illuminating the tiny spheres as he grew closer. "If we feel like we're going in circles, these pellets should work as a pretty good marker to tell us where we've already been." The tip of his finger flicked the three into the darkened corner, tucking them away from ignorant eyes. Only they would notice them, most likely, and therefore it became their absolute resolution no matter who might tread over their own path.
Satisfied with his on-the-spot planning, the teen stood, and faced the new faces once again. "So! Let's get going!"

G-G-G-GO TEAM BIRD [event | karma/berg-katze/O.D.]
Dropped in a hole. It didn’t change much from how they lived before this moment in time, and thus it could not complain, for it was interested in what was in store. Perhaps their blood would have continued to boil and search for the entertainment, if not for noticing the one before them, greeting them as if they had a bond that extended past desiring misery upon her.
Slinking back as far as possible without sound, they responded to the gesture of happiness all three of the others displayed by mocking the concept in which they spoke of.
"Are you sure you’re alright. Doing introductions like thiiiss? What awaits you will be a scare! You might even die!"
Seeming to deprive joy from the situation all of them were in, and already realizing what may happen, it continued to grin, as if it could never falter at the thought. Lifting a leg and pointing both their hands at the two they knew, he continued to speak.
"Ah, when I think of it like that, you’ll need to know each other if you want to survive at all. It’ll be fun! Right, Hajime? Okama?"

The groggy feeling that normally came with being dropped into a new situation was much harder to shake than it usually was. It almost felt four times more problematic, a miscalculation in the plans often acted upon when literally thrown into an unknown situation. An eye cracked open before the next as his surroundings became clear, and the fog began to dissipate and ideas began to circulate.

Trapped within a dark labyrinth, guided only by the symbol on his hand and bound by a string. As the situation had nothing to do with competitive assassins-- supposedly-- he found it difficult to properly assess it. Mazes had a simple trick to solve it every time, but given the unknown teammates and the apparent shared well-being, it could be a much more challenging feat. 'Another step toward killing Sensei, at least.'
Knees finally brought the student to a stand, hands quickly dusting off fabric before raising in a wave by the sides of his face to cast better light on his features when answering the stranger's greeting. Depending on the angle, the shadows cast on his face may be just a tad bit terrifying.

"Hello! My name's Karma Akabane. Looks like we're part of the same game, then. I hope you all love mazes, 'cuz I sure do." Whether this statement was sarcastic or not was the greatest mystery of all. "And who else do we have here? Friends of Hajime's?"

G-G-G-GO TEAM BIRD [event | karma/berg-katze/O.D.]
It was dark, and Hajime had to squint to make anything out in the darkness. Where was she? The strange events, the sudden change of scenery— She was feeling more than a little bit disoriented. Rubbing at her forehead with a slight wince, the girl tried to get a handle on the situation. As her hand fell back to her side, a marking on her wrist caught her eye. Hajime lifted her hand to get a better look at the design that appeared to be some kind of bird, intrigued.
But she wasn’t alone here. Turning, the girl saw three figures near her. One of them was unfamiliar to her— Although maybe she’d seen him somewhere? It was hard to tell. The other two, however…
"O.D.! Katze-chan!" She ran over to them, eyes shining with excitement. "What a surprise, I knew Katze-chan was here but not you, O.D.!" Clasping her hands together, Hajime beamed at the two. "But we can have a fun reunion later, it looks like we’re in some weird game the scientists set up, so we should probably figure out what’s going on first."
She turned to the other and sent a smile his way too. “Hi! I’m Hajime! Have you got this weird bird symbol too? I think it probably has something to do with this game!”

"That's natural? Wow. It must suck to have such pointy hair. I wonder if hair gel would make it worse, or better?" He wasn't about to believe that the guy didn't know what hair gel was. "All kinds! There's the typical replacing of hair gel with glue, replacing shampoo with hair gel, and there's some sticky, stinky way of using it that I haven't been able to try yet. C'mon, you gotta know where a store is, right?"
"Um.. excuse me?”

"I don’t even now what hair gel is, let alone where to get any. My hair is just naturally like this. What kind of prank are you going top pull with someone’s hair?"

Pockets occupied by unarmed hands suggested a laid-back, highly defenseless posture. He was aware that his very physique and atmosphere usually lead to early mistrust, what with the rebellious state of his school uniform (though that would go unnoticed here) and usually unnerving smile. This was nothing but a harmless encounter, man to man, book reader to book reader.
"You look like an intelligent fellow with a great taste in books. Do you know where I could find a library, anywhere? Even some plain ol' history books?"

Although not particularly having a goal in mind of where he was headed, the red-head had a general idea and didn't exactly want to leave his destined path. The lady who'd taken his attention was rather polite, however, and outright ignoring her was out of the question. He could spare a little time.
"That depends on where you want to go. You're dealing with a stranger, remember, so unless it's somewhere simple I might lead you astray. Sure you wanna deal with that, Izumi?"
His words were meant only to throw her a bit off balance, a smile unfitting of a dangerous person placing the situation back where it should be.

"Karma Akabane. I've just arrived myself, so I'm not sure how much help I'll be. We can give it a try, though. Where are you headed?"

Being a new kid on the block, Hina had yet to familiarize herself with this new city. There was probably a lot that she had to get used to, but she wasn’t too worried. After the events that had transpired back home, there was little that could surprise her and little that she could not believe in.
Taking in a deep breath, she walked forward and tried to find the most hospitable looking person.
"Hello, I’m Hina Izumi, and I just arrived here. Would you mind helping me with some directions?"
