Are we limited to one submission for the Universes Beyond custom commanders?
Nope, spam my inbox and we'll just use our favorites :)

I have a bunch of universes beyond commanders made (mainly for the stormlight archive) but it seems off to submit them with other peoples' fanart. Should I submit artless versions?
As long as you credit the artist on your card, it's fine. You can also submit artless versions if you prefer; it won't hurt your chances :)

Zak and I are planning to do an ep reviewing custom commanders in the near future so we’re collecting submissions now! The theme is Universes Beyond, so all commanders submitted should use non-magic IP. Primary criteria for selecting it will be whether it builds into a new or interesting deck but you will definitely get bonus points if you flavorfully capture the subject. Send your entries to us (or post them in a reblog) by sat, 3/25 to enter!

We’re collecting custom commander designs for an upcoming episode! The prompt is “commanders for mechanics that don’t currently have a synergistic commander”. DM me your submission by 3/27 and we’ll show off the best entries in a future episode!

Calling all custom Magic designers!
We’re collecting custom commander designs for an upcoming episode, so if you’d like your custom commander to be discussed on the podcast, please use the Submit button on our page and send it in by Saturday, 9/18.
Preference will be given to designs which create new archetypes in the Commander format, so please keep that in mind when submitting.
If you have any questions, please let us know and I’ll update this post with FAQs. Looking forward to seeing your designs!

@trifas We recently interviewed the reps for Blue and Green on the Council of Colors about designing cards in those colors for Commanders.
You can check them out on our YouTube channel or searching for Commander Theory wherever you get your podcasts.
A lot is talked about how White and Red are being treated in the Council of the Colors. But what about Green, Blue and Black? What are the main concerns those colors are facing?
Each color is always evolving. For example, we added enchantment removal in black.

It is time to pick up your quills and begin your notes, because this episode has Nick and Zak joined by Blake and Guy of the Wizard’s Staff podcast to look at the legendary creatures of Strixhaven. Who do we like, what do they do, what cards work well with them? Listen and find out!

Ken Nagle has made his mark on Magic: The Gathering whether you were aware or not. As Co-lead and Lead on over a dozen sets to date (and some of Nick and Zak's favorite sets too), Ken has a lot of experience under his belt when it comes to design. And that can only help him now as he has donned yet another robe within wizards as the Green Guru on the Council of Colors! Nick and Zak get to ask a lot of questions. Why does Green go wide and tall? Who decided that green can draw so many cards? Why is green so fun?? Come get a glimpse into the future of green on this episode!

In our latest episode, Nick and Zak chat with Charlotte Sable, CAG member, about how public sources of Commander data fail to capture the full spectrum of the format and how we can gather information on Commander's less visible players.

Faster than the flick of a wand! Quicker than uttering a true name! Strixhaven is already showing off some of what makes it tick! In this episode, Nick and Zak get into the lore, style, possible mechanics, pretty much everything there is so far released about Strixhaven and what it could mean for Magic moving forward. Oh, and there are some new preview cards too!
