Hi, how are ya. How's the arcana fandom? I've been out for so long right now and just..weeeeeee. this place still turns.

I hope all of you are doing well this fine quarantine day as here in czech republic, the world is burning. But i will withstand it all because i now own a plague mask and enough herbs to stuff my beak with them.

So, maybe you read my former articles about the 17th of November 1989 I posted earlier today, maybe you didn’t. It’s a national holiday in Czech republic and Slovakia, the former Czechoslovakia. We celebrate the day the comunist regime fell in our countries after 21 years. 

This video contains photos and footages from the November 17 1989 from different parts of Prague, the capital city of Czech republic and the former capital city of Czechoslovakia and is accompanied by Marta Kubišová’s “Prayer for Marta” which was a song that used to give hope to many people in those days.  Sometimes when I hear it on the radio I find myself in tears. I wasn’t even born at the time of Velvet revolution but it means very much to me. It’s a proof we can change the course of things. Czechoslovakian nation got together and they fought for their freedom. For our freedom. And I’ll be gratious to the men and women that signed themselves under the Charter 77 and to all the people that risked being put in jail, being beaten even getting killed and they went to the streets and changed something big. Forever.  Events as this one should be never forgotten. Because there are still countries that look like Czechoslovakia back in 80’s in our world. People need to talk about it, know about it, discuss and let the leaders of such countries know they don’t approve. The Velvet revolution is a proof we can fight against occupants and oppressors. Police detain protesters on January 15, 1989, 20 years after Palach’s suicide. Demonstrations in his honor escalated into what would be known as “Palach Week,” mass protests against Czechoslovakia’s communist regime. The rallies were crucial in mobilizing support for the anticommunist protests of the Velvet Revolution later the same year.

Just a heads up that the “Velvet Revolution” in 1989 wasn’t as peaceful as one might think. …although it was perhaps more peaceful than any other revolution, in the moment of this photo being taken, the police had surrounded several thousands of students and forced them all into a single narrow street with no other ways to escape, and then started beating them up.

AND THIS IS WHAT COMMUNISTS DID.

During the communism era in my country, my parents couldn’t STUDY. My dad was interrogated by the police because OF THE MUSIC he was listening to. Traveling to any country on the west from our borders was nearly impossible for regular people. People were being put in jail for as much as speaking their opinion… 

So please, educate yourself before you chose your political view.

the Czech Republic celebrates 25 years since the Velvet Revolution, the overthrowing of the communist government

we’re celebrating 25 years of freedom and democracy

this revolution was started by university students and young people, a group underestimated by both the government and the older generation

the motto of the revolution was “when - if not now. who - if not us?”

life isn’t perfect now but it’s so much better and for that we are eternally grateful

Hello, Hi and Welcome

Yes I know, I'm an inactive bitch. Well I have a good reason, school has been keeping me on leash. As much as i want to go back to writing fanfics, headcanons and being silly Billy with Arcana...im afraid I won't be getting back to that. I've long stopped playing and I'm not so very hype about it anymore either way. Still, I'm thankful to all the people who I met and the fun I had thanks to this beautiful game.

As for this month, spooky is my second name and while I'm still unbelievably busy I am trying to bring something back to this blog and make it active yet again! Get ready for some of my pentober ( because hell I'm glad I can somehow draw with a pencil, heck ink would kill me I don't even have it) so I hope you'll stay by and watch.
