i really just appreciate how there wasn't even a CRUMB of arrogance in how david played superman bc ive seen soooo many portrayals of him where he IS arrogant and full of himself and it bugs me so much every time especially when its in childrens media like the lego movies bc superman is SUPPOSED to be the pinnacle of kindness hes supposed to be everyones friend and they keep portraying him like a popular frat boy and it was so so refreshing to see how he had actual genuine kindness in everything he did THATS the role model kids should be looking up to not some entitled jackass w godlike powers

I LOVE how graceless David's superman is. He gets knocked down akimbo under the witness of those under his protection and who look up to him; he STUMBLES into a landing; he gets ragdoll dragged by a dog 1/10th his size; he becomes "gross" under kryptonite; he CRIES for Mali and in front of his dad, laughs heartily when he's happy, gets childishly angry and EMBARRASSED that random people are calling him supershit; says corny shit to a kaiju like "eyes up here"; has a beautiful, cozy, boyish childhood bedroom. I remember whispering to my friend during the scene where he goes home: 'i get why he's so kind; he was raised with love'. Superman is just a guy, the best of all guys (i.e. all humans) and none of these things make him look less or weak. They just make him more lovely.

ready for the trinity santos and dennis whitaker bestfriendship of all time on levels that no one else can comprehend. i need them to walk into the next season arguing about how trinity broke the coffee machine in the one singular way where it's unfixable. need dennis to talk about how someone tried to break into the apartment and trinity broke their arm in five places. they watch shitty medical dramas together and get genuinely angry at inaccuracies and use said inaccuracies to quiz each other. trinity took no less than 100 pictures on dennis's residency match day. dennis tells trinity that he's survived multiple tornadoes and her only reaction was calling him a loser because he's never been stormchasing. this isn't even all the thoughts i've had and i finished the finale 15 minutes ago
