Perhaps in the 1980s the intent was to secretly infiltrate radical movements unbeknownst to the participants, yet in later decades when knowledge of such infiltrations became commonplace, strategy shifted to capitalise on the disruptive effects of presumed surveillance. As it is established that officials were aware of undercover officers forming sexual relationships within target communities, it must be assumed that such actions were understood as aiding their larger goals. It is also entirely possible that the police agencies responsible for dispatching undercover officers became aware that knowledge of their embedded presence would serve to destabilise communities, and thus facilitated (or failed to stop) leaks of information that would lead to such a strategy being exposed. The production of the expectation of surveillance may serve to be a more valuable feature than the actual surveillance, in the same way that the anticipated guillotine serves a more efficient disciplinary power then its public usage.

Police Officers Who Shot at Two Innocent Women 103 Times Won’t Be Fired or Suspended
The eight Los Angeles police officers who shot at two women over 100 times will not lose their jobs. They won’t even be suspended. They’ll just get some additional training.
They’ll need it, since the shooting happened at the height of the manhunt for cop-killer Christopher Dorner, when police mistook two women delivering newspapers in a blue Toyota Tacoma pickup truck for one man hellbent on revenge in a charcoal Nissan Titan pickup truck and shot at them 103 times. One of the women, who was 71 at the time, was hit twice in the back. The second woman was hit by broken glass. I would say those cops should get some training in target practice, but then it’s probably best for innocent newspaper carriers that they don’t.
A commission found that the officers violated department policy when they thought the sound of a newspaper hitting the pavement was a gunshot and opened fire on two women who were, again, doing absolutely nothing wrong except driving a truck that didn’t even look like the one they believed their suspect to be in.
The officers faced suspension or even firing, but police chief Charlie Beck elected instead to let them all return to duty once they undergo some additional training, according to a memo obtained by the AP. The officers have not been named, so you’ll probably never know if the guy writing your speeding ticket once shot at an innocent senior citizen.
Shortly after the women were mistaken for Dorner, another police officer shot at another pickup truck. This one was black Honda Ridgeline. Brian McGee drove his cruiser into the truck and opened fire three times. The man inside the truck was not hit, but he sustained back and head injuries. The city of Torrance, where the incident took place, gave him $20,000 to replace his truck which was, again, a black Honda Ridgeline and not a gray Nissan Titan.
In January, prosecutors found that the officer was “justified in using force to stop the vehicle and in discharging his firearm” and declined to press charges.

Hawaii’s Cops Say They Need to Be Allowed to Sleep with Prostitutes, Just in Case
Cops usually can’t break the law, even when they’re undercover, but police departments in Hawaii recently lobbied state lawmakers to carve out an exception to what is a pretty good rule. Last week, when the state legislature was considering amending an anti-prostitution law to prohibit undercover officers from having penetrative sex with prostitutes, the police were like, “Actually, we need the flexibility to have full-on intercourse or we can’t do our jobs properly. Third base doesn’t cut it.”
Hawaii’s House passed the bill, thereby saying “you can have sex with prostitutes if youreally need to,” but, understandably, a week’s worth of headlines like, “Hawaiian Police Want to Have Sex with Prostitutes Real Bad” and “Haha Dude Wasn’t This Exact Thing inThe Wire?” caused legislators to have second thoughts about the rule now that it’s hit the state Senate.

Blue Code of Silence -
is an unwritten rule among police officers not to report on a colleague’s errors, misconducts, or crimes. If questioned about an incident of misconduct involving another officer (e.g. during the course of an official inquiry), while following the code, the officer being questioned would claim ignorance of another officer’s wrongdoing.
in the video, a chicago police officer brutally beats female bartender. investigating police officers blatantly refuse to accept video tape evidence.
in a separate incident, four cops randomly attack a group of men peacefully playing pool. other cops show up to the scene and drive away when the realize the attackers are police.
finally, a cop gets stopped for drunk driving, and he’s released based on ‘the code of silence’.
there are two parts to the video.

Mississippi Judge Takes Baby Away From Mother, Says Lack Of English Would Cause ‘Developmental’ Problems
A federal judge has ruled that a case against two employees of Singing River Hospital and a state child welfare caseworker accused of unjustly separating a newborn baby from her mother may proceed – denying the defendants’ attempt to claim immunity for their actions
The lawsuit was filed on behalf of Baltazar Cruz and her daughter. The mother – who speaks the indigenous Mexican language Chatino, limited Spanish and virtually no English – gave birth to her daughter at Singing River Hospital in November 2008. Two days later, the child was taken from her following allegations by a hospital employee who spoke only in Spanish to the mother.
They claimed she was undocumented, traded sex for housing and concluded she intended to give her child away. While she was at the hospital, her Chatino-speaking cousin tried to tell officials that she is actually employed at a Chinese restaurant, and did not in fact “admit” to allegations that she was involved in the sex trade. But a social services representatives who did not know her language nonetheless excluded her cousin from discussions between them.
After the state health department filed a “report of suspected abuse and neglect,” officials temporarily gave Baltazar Cruz’s baby to a couple who wanted to adopt a child, but were not licensed as foster parents, according to court documents. And at a court hearing that followed, Judge Sharon Sigalas agreed with the couple’s argument that the baby would have “developmental” problems because she would not communicate with the baby in English.
Baltazar Cruz was without her daughter for almost a year, and the court nearly terminated her parental rights.
It was only after a federal investigation of the case was initiated that the judge, prosecutor, and guardian ad litem all recused themselves from the case, claiming a new conflict of interest. The judge who replaced Sigalas granted Baltazar Cruz custody.
A federal judge ruled Friday that these officials could not now claim immunity from constitutional allegations against them, concluding, “This case is riddled with contradicting stories and potential indicia of misconduct.”

BEZ WITNESSES BARTON MOSS GREATER MANCHESTER POLICE BRUTALITY
'Happy Mondays star, Bez, came to Barton Moss this morning to raise the issues around anti-fracking. Instead he witnessed numerous arrests and yet more brutality from the Greater Manchester Police Tactical Aid Unit.
From the start of the slow walk in front of lorries delivering to the IGas exploratory drilling site, police were sending snatch squads into the lines of peaceful protectors, with over a dozen arrests along the route.
The final arrest sickened, not just Bez, but everyone present, as Vanda - the mother of four who was brutally dragged across a muddy field in handcuffs last month, injured and left on the floor for 45 minutes waiting for an ambulance (see previous Salford Star articles click here and click here) – was not only arrested but beaten. In front of eye witnesses, including the Salford Star reporting team…’

Unarmed, clearly non-violent student brutally pepper-sprayed.
73 were arrested over the weekend as police used outrageous tactics against college students enjoying a pre-St. Patrick’s Day party.
College Fun Quickly Turns into Violent Oppression When the Cops Show Up
A youtube Video by levin00, shows how brutality and oppression are quickly becoming the goto tactics of Police State USA. It also shows that what the media is saying about this event is all wrong.
The video clearly shows kids having fun, NOT being violent or destructive.
Then the storm troopers show up in their black uniforms, with rubber bullets and pepper spray. The jackboots rolled trough campus laying waste to the wasted.
These are college kids doing what college kids do, and they were treated like enemy combatants. This was completely uncalled for! The violent tendency of the state has got to be reined in.
When will enough be enough? These cops need to be held accountable, as well as the one’s that sent their vicious attack dogs out to wreak havoc.
Watch video of the party and the police response here. More footage here.

Darren Baptiste is a Professional App Developer from Canada and recently he decided to help bring awareness to the very serious issue of Police Brutality. The relationship between the police and the Black Community has never been good. The Police enforce laws of a system that aids the agenda of White supremacy and a country founded on racism and murder.
Darren has experienced countless cases of Police Brutality in his lifetime and ever since the emergence of the internet anyone can see the atrocious cases of brutality on YouTube. Darren is wise enough to know that the Police cause a lot of the issues and use their badge, gun and law as protection when they brutalize people in the Black Community. A Black Person’s word means nothing against a Cops word in court.
The “Cop Watch” app begins shooting automatically once it’s opened, and as soon as recording is stopped, instantly uploads to YouTube. At the same time, an email is sent to a community-based Network for the Elimination of Police Violence , with the videographer’s location and a URL for the video. This app provides evidence in the favor of our people to help combat a serious issue. Baptiste designed the app to feature the “Eye of Horus” as a symbol of protection. Salute to Darren for taking a stand against Police Brutality.

Cops Break Mentally Handicapped Teen’s Arm On School Bus
A Rotterdam family’s lawyer said a surveillance video from a school bus shows Town Police breaking the arm of a special needs teen. In October of 2013, Rotterdam Police responded to a call from Mohonasen transportation that a student would not get off the bus after the driver refused to transport him. Police say the 16 year old threatened the bus driver and on Friday, the department released video footage of the incident. "Either you or one of us might get hurt and we don’t want to do that," said one police officer in the video. "When the boy did not respond quick enough for the police, which is typical for the boy’s type of condition, rather than call mental health professionals or wait for the EMTs, the police told the boy that they were going to ‘hog-tie’ him." On the video surveillance, one police officer can be heard saying “Well if it’s my choice I don’t want to have to hog-tie you and fight with you but I will if I have to that’s what I get paid for.” Officers then attempted to remove the teen from the bus. Luibrand said the teen suffered from a fractured humerus as the officers were trying to remove him from the bus. "With clearly excessive force, exerted enough force to snap one of the strongest bones in his body. That’s not how mentally handicapped people are to be treated," said Luibrand. The police department said officers followed protocol. The teen was charged with obstructing.

Cops Strap African American Woman To Chair, Pepper Spray Her and Cut Off Her Hair
It’s the kind of story that you wouldn’t believe unless you saw it with your own eyes. Thankfully, this story was caught on surveillance video, so we can do just that.
Charda Gregory, a 22 year-old hairdresser, had allegedly trashed a hotel room. She was taken into custody by Michigan police, then pepper sprayed in jail, slammed against a wall and strapped down to a chair.
It was then that officer Bernadette Najor took out a pair of scissors and started hacking away at Gregory’s hair.
According to Charda’s lawyer, her hair hair was torn with such force that she suffered some permanent hair loss.
The officer tried to justify her actions in the police report, saying that the hair was a “suicide risk.” Thankfully, this resulted in charges against Gregory being dropped, and Najor being fired. But had this not been caught on video, who knows what would have happened.
Other officers involved are now under investigation.
Watch the video and SPREAD THE WORD! These sorts of abusive cops can only get away with as much as we allow them to.

Police 'culture of disbelief' over rape claims alarms official monitoring group
Official concern over a “culture of disbelief” in rape cases has been raised as new figures show that some police forces are writing off up to a third of all allegations reported to them.
A report by the high-powered joint government and police rape monitoring group confirms that a postcode lottery is operating in the way the 43 forces in England and Wales deal with rape allegations. Read more

Yesterday’s story of the elderly NYC man who was beaten bloody by police for jaywalking today gets a tragic companion from Philadelphia:
A 16-yr-old African American boy was sexually assaulted by a police officer during a “stop and frisk” pat-down. The assault was committed with such violence that the youth’s testicles were literally ruptured.
Now, Darrin Manning of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania may never be able to father children, according to the doctors who performed surgery on his virtually destroyed testicles.
Darrin was a star basketball player with no criminal history to speak of. He was a straight-A student who never got into any sort of trouble. He was with his teammates heading to a game right after school when he encountered an officer who decided he was “suspicious” and needed to be subjected to local “stop and frisk” procedures.
Though no official reason has been given for the stop and frisk, Darrin and the other (uniformed) members of the basketball team who were stopped suggest it was because they were wearing scarves over their faces to protect against the extreme cold Philadelphia, like much of the country, has suffered this winter.
Darrin was put in handcuffs. When the officer began “frisking” him, they grabbed hold of Darrin’s genitals so hard, pulled and twisted, that the teen’s genitals literally tore off.
“I felt the officer reach and grab my butt. Then the officer grabbed my testicles and squeezed again and pulled down. And that’s when I heard something pop, like I felt it POP,” Manning said.
The incident has left the 16-year-old with felony charges of assault and resisting arrest.
"I’m just grateful that they just didn’t kill him," said Darrin’s mother.
