It's ya boy, i thonk too hard so now i have another Deltarune Knight theory, so get ready ladys and germs, because we fall even more in the rabbit hole

!!-!-! DELTARUNE CHAPTER 3 & 4 SPOILER AHEAD, IF YOU HAVEN'T PLAYED PEAK, THEN WHAT ARE YOU DOING !-!-!!

So we star easy, by dismantling the theories that are mostly stablished, Dess Knight, and Triple knight (mine)

So to starts with dess knight, though i will admit that it's a good ass throry, there's a very important detail that kills it, the phone call

Basically the chapter 4 phone call will be both our greatest ally and our greatest hinderance, if its not obvious already, that phone call is probably with the Knight, how we can know this is because apart from the heroes the only other person to know about the police is the Knight. So great, during those interactions the knight tells kris, upon susie grabbing the guitar, "i'll be there"

It's those line that discard December holiday as the knight, since she literally never appears

Who does appear though is Carol holiday, who's interaction with Kris tells us that we must be suspicious of her

so is she the knight?

Maybe, but the fact that the knight apears in the church and there is almost not a feasible way for carol to have gone there creates a big narrative hole

So who else is a candidate?

Well, maybe Alvin? Ralsei says that gerson is a darkner formed by the memory of a lightner, who created the fountain. Basically it spells Alvin, but again he falls to the Phone call

Our last posible candidate is Asgore, who almost perfectly fits the mold, he apears even befre carol in the house, he HAS A BLACK SHARD, and because we see him run from the trees upon leaving the church he could have made a run for it just before Kris and Susie could get there

Yet still, it does not fit perfectly, he was in the holiday home at the same time as Kris and we do not see him speaking trough a phone + the attitude of the knight doesn't fit with someone like Asgore

But more importantly than all that, there is a detail that eliminates everyone without too much thinking

WHY THE FUCK DOES THE KNIGHT LOOK LIKE THAT??!?!?!?!??!

Every lightner that enter a dark world has a small change im appearence, either physical color or clothing

But that's the thing IT'S A SMALL CHANGE, IT DOESN'T CHANGE THEIR ENTIRE FUCKING DESIGN, and we don't see a lightner that has a similar design

So what the fuck

Well i think maybe its more simple that we think

The knight isn't someone

The knight is a dark entity, formed from the Dark Fountain, that represent the darkest desire of everyone, quite literally the dark version of the idea of Hopes and Dreams, its just like the titans, its an entity whose only objective is to cause the roaring, to destroy the light world

Why? Well, there isn't really a good way to tell, maybe its just a lackey of gaster, maybe its something else, Or maybe it really is someone from hometown and i'm going insane

But i do think it works well from a narrative persepctive, Deltarune starts out as the traditional RPG story, a grop of heroes embark on a grand adventure to avoid the destruction of the world by the hands of a mysterious entity, contantly operating one step ahead of the heroes, the idea of the knight being a pure-evil, extra powerful villain workd with that idea

But also, the knight appears to operate by having other people create the fountains, like tenna says, probably in some sort of twisted escapism, akin to that what queen wanted

By creating a dark world they can give the darkners what they want, and use that levearege to also give the lightner what they want (explaining why they wanted to take toriel, probably a deal with Asgore)

That deal with the lightners could also explain their relation to Carol, Dess and the phone call

Carol already has everything, a big house, a good family, a stable job, and a safe place to live. The knight couldn't leaverage anything from her, unless they took something, something so precious that she would have nothing more to do than to work with them, and whats more precious to a mother...

Than her daughter

Dess was taken by the knight, and now the knight as the most powerful person in all of hometown at their disposal. She is the second in command, she is the knights power in the light world, so when the knight tells kris "i'll be there" they send their closest ally, the one that carries the knights will in the light world

With deltarune chapters 3 & 4 out, a lot about the ROARING KNIGHT is being thrown around in the community, with the leading theory appearing to be "Dess knight", but after looking at the information given to use by these chapters i wish to propose a different theory

So from the start, what seems to be the foundation for dess knight comes in 2 forms,

1.the knight seems to be based on some kind of deer, apparent because of the antlers

2.they have a somewhat direct connection with Kris

Now these arguments are quite general, so i'll start by giving some observations, the first of these is that the roaring knight as presented in chp 3 & 4 shares, basically, the same design as 2 of the titans shown in the roaring cutscene in chp2 wich i think is weird, the second ovservation is that the roaring knight isn't directly creating the fountains (or at least not always), probably the knight as some contacts, like kris themselves, wich they command to create dark fountains. This las part is important in chapter 4 since is basically said that Alvin created that dark world (wich is said by Ralsei when explaining why gerson doesn't appear in Susie's dark world)

So what is my theoru exactly, well quite easy

THERE ISN'T A "KNIGHT" BUT "KNIGHTS"

Yes plural

So how, or why?

Well it all comes down to the lock in the bunker and the roaring cutscene

The bunker shows three logos, a pine tree, a police badge and the deltatune

Let's try figure out 1 by 1

The pine tree, could basicaly represent enybody from the holiday family, but by process of elimination on knowledge we have, its probably Carol or Dess

The Deltarune also as few contestants, its either Noelle or somebody from the church (Alvin, just Alvin), because the pine already represents the holiday family let just say this icon represents Alvin

And finally

The officer badge, wich could be undyne (or napstablook but lets be honest, its not blookie)

OR

The old police chief, Asgore

Now you can notice a pattern, 3 important figures all having an association with the bunker and by extention, the knight

Now why do i think there multiple knights, this all comes from the conversation between the knight and kris. When susie gets the guitar, the knight says they'll be right there, in the matter of a few minutes, Carol appears in the door, a timing that isn't usual considering how confident Noelle is on how long she will take and the way she just inmediatly focuses on Susie and the guitar

So Carol as an 80% chance to be a Knight, wich fits with the pine tree

As for the other 2, it's more ambigous, Asgore would make sense, he probably has the closest connection to Carol, during chapter 4 he was both kinda weird and was used as a red hearring right before Carol came in + it would explain why the knight attempted to take Tori in chp3 and maybe why they took Undyne, since once Asgore was part of the police force

Alvin is a bit more of a hunch, he doesn't appear in the dark world he supposedly created, and there's a knight during that section wich (by using this theory) would be impossible since both Asgore and Carol are quite far away from the church

But those 2 would fill the last 2 icon on the bunker

The design of the "titans" in the propehcy don't actually share almost any similarities with the one we actually fight in chp 4, wich combined with the fact that they DO share design with the 1 knight whe did saw makes you think if that in the propehcy is actually the titans, or the knight (which share a kinda simmetrical design style, the 2 lesser knight, Asgore and Alvin probably, have a smaller design wich are identical between each other, while the bigger knight would probably represent Carol, with it being more important and the leader between the three)

Now this would leave one question, whats their motive, but theres a kind of theme that these 3 share, and that theme is

A Broken Home

Carol, whose family fell apart with the desapearnce of her older daughter

Alvin, whose life he feels is lesser than that of his father

And Asgore, who lost his marriage and kids, and now is forced to scrape by day by day

The idea of these character wanting to find use the power of a fountain to resolve their woes, to escape from their realities, i personaly find it a fine motive

This theory is more my surface level analisis of the event on the new chapters, there's a lot of info i don't know since i don't know every secret nor i've seen the weird routes of these chapter, so theres a high chance some info from there could shatter my theory, still i thought it was something interesting to share

On April 16th 2025 the US federal government has proposed to change the interpretation of the endangered species act so that it no longer protects habitat.

I fucking hate that i can't just settle my own identity, it's been so fucking exhausting.

Because theres 2 things that constanly make me hate myself for trying to change how i'm percieved

1. The constant voice in my head that is telling me that i do it only for the attention, only to feel special and unique

2.the fear of promising something that i must probably won't achieve, the fear of making empty promises

And if i wqs sure of how i feel then i probably could ignore these feelings, but of course not, y have to constantly battle myself every time that i think about it, and i just wish i wouldn't
