Quickly approaching our 2 year acceptance of our system. Half way there.

We’ve know we where a system for way longer then 2 years, but two years ago on December was the first time we truly fully accepted who we are and our plurality. It feels strange but also amazing at the same time.

I remember spiralling in bed looking up things about did and osdd franticly trying to prove to myself I wasn’t a system. It wasn’t untill I finally talked to my partner of 5 years (who is also a system!) about it that we finally come to terms with it and let go on fighting our system but trying our best to embrace it.

It’s not an easy journey, hell it has been quite a rocky one with a lot of self doubt, especially being such a large system (over 1000 Headmates. Being a Polyfrag system can do that to ya). We where so caught up on how being a system “should” look like that we forget how our system was. Once we fully let go, let our headcount be, and our system form naturally, it all flowed with life so much better. We feel in ourselves so much better. Don’t get us wrong, we aren’t perfect. Hell we still have the days of doubt and hardship.

Did and osdd isn’t easy, but learning to love it and embrace it makes it so much easier for both you and your system.

We still have things we hate about our did, so do we our autism or adhd. It’s a disability for a reason. But it doesn’t mean you have to hate it. Because it’s you. Learn to not hate you.

We have a lot more growing to do. But I’m so hyped for December man- and I’m so hyped to see how our system grows and develops throughout the rest of this year

I don’t know who needs to hear this but we did when we first discovered out plurality;

If you are seeing this there is a high chance you are plural. Or have close friends who are plural. As you’d need to be interacting with plural media for this post to have appeared to you.

If you contemplate “am i a system” a lot, even to the point of mental spiral. You are plural. And even if you weren’t, that’s okay. Most singlets never contemplate wether or not they may be plural.

If you contemplate “am I faking it” your not. People who fake something are aware and are doing it intentionally. You are not faking it, sure, you could be wrong. But it’s really hard to gaslight yourself to feel the symptoms you do. They are real. They are valid. Y’all are valid.

If you think you may be “doing being plural wrong” or “not plural enough” or anything like that. You are plural in your own way. There is no “right” way to be plural. There is y’all’s way, because you, as a system, yes you, are your own person. The body is no similar to that one other plural you know. Each system will be different and experience plurality differently.

No matter how many Headmates no matter how detailed your inner world/headspace is. No matter if you have dissociation or not. No matter if you have a solid identity or clear Headmates. No matter how connected your inner communication is. What matters if you at least have one other identity in your head that isn’t yours. No matter how much they know of themselves or how formed they are. If they exist. You are plural.

Plurality is free, and plurality is loving to all. No matter origin, no matter your system. No matter who or what you are, what you have. You are still plural, what you experience is plurality, and even if your wrong, that’s okay. You are allowed to be wrong. But you’ll never know if you where if you don’t try to embrace it.

Plurality isn’t a disease to be afraid of.

For some people it isn’t an illness in need of being cured.

It’s who you are.

The future is plural.

So let’s make that plural an open and accepting place. Not one of Hate.

All Headmates or parts or alters or emotions or fragments or whatever term you may use deserve care and respect.

All systems no matter origin deserves respect. Deserves to be treated as a person.

Telling people in real life may be scary. But the people who will be there through and through will never judge deny or put down you. If they are true they will trust and believe you. If they are someone true to you they will love you and your plurality with you. If someone does shut you down for being plural, or for doing “plurality wrong” they aren’t someone you should be around. And that’s a hard pill to swallow sometimes. It’s even harder if it’s family. But it does get better, and there is people who will listen.

Let yourself be plural.

Let yourself be you.

Because your system isn’t there to cause you harm.

It’s there to be there for you.

It’s there to protect you or to comfort you or to help in some way.

If we where not plural, we’d be dead by now. But we aren’t. Not now not any time in the future.

We love our plurality, and have people around us that supports us and loves us with it

We have plural friends and people who trust and believe our plurality no matter how high our head count may be.

Be plural. Be you.

And be loved.

Because you know you deserve it.
