PSA to any nonhumans/otherkin/voidpunks who want a fang piercing to affirm themselves!!!

Do NOT do this:

This is a “smiley” piercing (a horseshoe bar through the frenulum); fang bars are NOT proper jewelry to wear in them! Their size and shape can increase the risk of gum recession and tooth chipping (and are at a higher risk of being torn out by mistake!), plus they’re difficult to live with when it comes to eating, drinking, and sleeping.

Do this instead:

These are vertical angel bites (AKA “angel fangs”), using a standard curved barbell with a spike on the bottom. They don’t extend into the oral cavity at all, which means your teeth won’t be damaged and there’s a lesser risk of injury. This piercing is also easier to live with so you can keep your fangs full-time (as long as the spikes you use aren’t TOO long, I’d recommend 3 to 4 mm).

Pls remember to affirm yourselves safely (especially with body modification), and only wear jewelry that’s meant to safely go in your piercing! 💕

I know that biting into flesh and tearing things apart are our thing but let's have some decorum. Some of us have bad teeth, let's cut it into tiny consumable pieces maybe? Plate it up real nice with a nice wine? Really savor that juicy rareness.

Can't we make a charcuterie out of them? With a nice gruyere cheese and grapes? Or perhaps a nice blood soup or stew? I want recipes I can actually eat!! My teeth are too bad to just gnaw on them like that!

I want to know, does every vampire kin have pale skin? Because I am black and in my head I am either blue or just my regular skin color with slightly less vibrancy because...ya know...I am dead. Are there any other POC vampires?

I remember being told I couldn't be a vampire because I was black and that always stuck with me because why?? Like, are vampires allergic to melanin? Go away. Don't say words to me anymore.

I love giving terms of affection to my partner like "darling" and "Pony" (he's a horse therian) but in turn I love to be called things like "my beloathed" and "your abhorrence" and other terms like that. When I say things like "My outfit is absolutely ghastly!" I mean it positively! :D

I am finding small ways to Vamp-up my day to day language.

Black clothes that cover most of my skin, bonnets and veils to cover my head, claws/claw gloves and flats. Just a few things that make me feel ghastly. Also I love being called Ghoulish, ghastly, nasty, fiendish Etc.

I wish I wasn't so afraid of contacts. I would wear some white out lenses and look absolutely deathly!

Vampires are normally seen as erotic and sexy but imo, I always related to vampires that were horrifying creatures. Creatures of the night that actually look like creatures.

Especially the nosferatu vampires in VTM. I suppose as someone who is an insomniac, who has chronic pain, uses a cane sometimes and has a skin condition, I always could relate to their sickly appearance. The thought that I could be cool and mythical too even with the body I have always fascinated me.

I know that mysticism and superstition around disability is problematic but i don't know, perhaps some part of me has reclaimed the more problematic aspects for myself to be a strange vampire 🦇🖤.

Aside from that, a being weird blue ancient creature would make moving through the world easier lol. Like "oh you don't understand this joke?" And it would be assumed that I don't get it because I am an old vampire with very little social skills and not just a weird little autistic man./joke

Anyways, I was just rambling. I hope that made sense.

A bit about my drawn appearance! I borrow heavily from Count Orlok my account's namesake BUT I also like medieval headwear and hats so I more often then not will draw myself in a bonnet or wimple or hat of some kind, since I already veil for spiritual reasons.🦇🎀

The blue skin came in a dream along with the yellow eye. The lips are just fun to draw...I love lipstick. I want to draw myself in acrylic nails at some point because those are just decorative claws, right? Lol

I love fashion...so maybe I can draw myself in different styles. That would be fun.
