there’s not enough dating slang for killjoys, this is literally one of the most common types of slang full stop. therefore, i’d like to suggest ‘running away’ or ‘running’ with someone as a slang for dating them. e.g. “he’s running with someone new now.”, “i’m not running away with her, we just hang out.”

nice! it's added to the common words + slang section of the dictionary.

running: dating slang, like you said. or, slang for being in someone's crew.

due to "running" being such a varied word, i have added that it can change meaning depending on the context. i do think there should be more dating slang, as well as some medical related terms, so thank you for your suggestion :)

some other implicitly romantic slang terms already within the doc are:

debut album: someone's first love.

favourite record: a term referring to one’s partner.

diamond: to refer to someone you really have a fancy for. "they called me a diamond, so i guess i'll be coming back soon."

"Buckshot Barbie"

"Cigarette Sunshine" or "Nicotine Sunshine" I haven't decided,

and "Cyanide Slayer"

buckshot barbie is my personal fave! the imagery there is super cool— big thumbs up :)

cigarette sunshine rolls off the tongue smoother than nicotine sunshine does, but you could replace cyanide slayer with nicotine cyanide?

what's important is to stick to your guns and go with whatever you feel is best. majority of the time there's no right or wrong decisions in danger days ocs, depending on your level of "accuracy" and such. good luck out there!

wanting to make a killjoysona, how should i come up with a name??

hi anon! danger days names tend to be. very connected to themes of the desert, items, drinks, onomatopeia, electrical, general end-of-the-world related terms and aesthetics. a Lot of it is based off imagery. or items! words such as crackle, zinger, electric, fizz all give off a specific aesthetic or connotation. i guess pairing an interesting and evocative word with another that is similar yet different can slot together a sick ass killjoy name! (ex: slingshot radio! does it make sense? not really. can you give it meaning? HELL YES. plus it makes u sound badass.)

sure you can throw two words together that have no connection to your killjoy can work. but think of what they pride themselves on. where do they go? what do they value? what items do you associate with killjoys? what Sounds smooth and easy to visualise?

hey i just have a question. where do you get the information for the danger days dictionary? how much of it is canon?

hi!! considering that danger days canon is often debatable in nature, and so much of it does inherently come from the fans, it's hard to draw the line. i've gotten my info from both youtube stuff, old archives, and a first hand experience in dd tumblr since 2016— so there's a mix. i added in plenty of things from tumblr headcanons (especially what has been generally agreed upon), niche yet canonical details such as the graffiti bible, and looped it all together into one big dictionary. if you are looking for nothing but canon, then i have put in some resources within the doc. stay shiny, anon
