It absolutely boggles my mind the way shannon has introduced the fact that elves are immortal which creates absolutely ginormous generational family lines.

And yet. Where are they? We see some of the extended vacker family. We hear about edalines parents through stories of her sister and the way they reacted to her potential "bad match".

Yet we barely see any of them. We know of holidays, the festival happening while the trolls attacked for example. So we know there are times where everyone comes together as a community. But we never actively see any extended family really acting like family. Sophie never meets any of her grandparents, and we only ever see the extended vacker family.

Im surprised there's so little examples of closer knit family members that aren't a nuclear family.

ello! I was wondering if there were any guidelines for things you're more likely to draw/not draw if you get an art request for it?

ehh not really anything specific? it really just depends on how much i want to draw it lmao. like i’m more likely to draw my favorite characters & ships instead of characters/ships i dislike… also i really only do kotlc requests since this is a kotlc-centric blog (but i do sometimes do doodle requests on my instagram story if you want to request something from another fandom)

and whether or not i’ll do it as a sketch or a full piece is entirely dependent on my mood 🥴
