Raise up your bat rant

Alright I want to talk about lightners live for a second. Starting with the fact that Dess ABSOLUTELY wrote this song. The imagery of wielding a bat and the chorus having the lost girl/Noelle motif makes it clear. Now, starting with the chorus:

"Come follow me into the dark! With your heart as the ark- Which shall shine you the way~~! Because I'm with you in the dark! With your heart as my mark- Which shall guide you the way~~!"

Starting with the fact that "your heart" is actively described as "the ark" and her referring to "a demon heart" in the first line of the verse. It gives us the idea that she is referring to us, the soul, the player, the demon, the whatever.

Another line I find interesting is this one in the verse:

"Raise up your bat and face the fright!"

This alone wouldn't be note worthy, but with how Ralsei describes the Titan in chapter 4...

This is very clearly Ralsei saying that the Titan is a form of "primal fear" which possibly makes it the "the fright" that the song says to raise your bat against.

Now here's the good shit:

"With your heart as my mark-

Which shall guide you the way~~!"

With the connection for "the heart" to the soul is set, the fact that the heart is described as her mark is really interesting. And that it says it will "guide you the way" like we guide Kris and the rest of the fanclub.

This raises the question though, if this is "their mark", then did Dess give Kris the soul?
