This flower store had been in his family for generations and he was proud to continue on the tradition. He wasn’t the brightest but he didn’t need to be when flowers were in his blood. The Earth witch noticed a customer with a difficult choice between flowers “you know flowers can mean a multiple of things, what are you trying to convey?”

Maya had ran out of a couple of herbs and flowers and she didn’t have enough time to go back to her usual spot to get some. So a local flower shop would have to do. She had done a quick sweep of the place but ultimately she was stuck between choosing a couple of things. Dammit she really should have made a list. A voice pulled her out of her little bubble and she turned to face the person speaking, “Oh, uh, not really trying to convey anything. I own the herbal beauty store down the road and I ran out of a couple of things,” she explained quickly. “Just need to figure out what I’m missing again,” her eyes turned back to the flowers, brows slightly furrowed in thought.

“I think they made a lot of shows about how bad hoarding can be. But they don’t make episodes on the good kinds of hoards though, which I feel is a little one sided.” He mused, enjoying that she seemed interested in all of the options. He liked when people were interested in his items and didn’t treat them as something dated that only grandparents seemed to own. Sure, because of the carelessness of others he happened up gems hidden amongst the trash in estate sales though of course so he couldn’t really complain too much. “Necklaces, other kinds of rings, a few bracelets. Really it was anything that could seemingly hold something with a hidden clasp. I can bring out a variety of them to see if any one specific catches your eye.”
He led her towards where the furniture items he had out were that fit her desires, and shrugged his shoulders. “Big or small, you have quite the variety for you to examine here. Some are spelled to keep doors hidden from the naked eye as well. Feel free to look at the furniture and let me know which would best belong in your home with you and all your hidden things.”
“Sounds to me like you have a burning desire to guest on one of those hoarding shows,” Nina raised an eyebrow at him, “and I can see why. This place would be a real treat for people like us.” Not so much for Marie Kondo probably. Or however that lady was called back in the day. “That would be great if you could, thank you. I am a bit picky with the stuff that I wear so I’d love to see a couple of things.” And that was putting it lightly. She would never wear something she didn’t vibe with. She followed him to the furniture and started looking around. Her imagination ran wild as she pictured the pieces fitting inside her place. For a moment she found herself struggling to narrow down her picks. Technically, she could replace all of her stuff with furniture that could hide things. Whoa, dial it down or you’re gonna be the one on the hoarding show. “Can you tell me more about these two?” she asked him as she pointed to what looked a very comfy armchair and a vintage looking book case.

Raisa tilted her head, considering his question as she glanced at the dart board. “I think I can try to give you a run for your money.” She said with a shrug. It wasn’t that serious and she had some experience with darts. “What are you thinking of betting?”
“Oh, is that so?” he asked as his lips curved up into a slight, but cocky smile. Max loved a good challenge no matter how competitive it got. “That depends on what we’re both comfortable with. It can be something like buying the next round of drinks or it can be something a bit more unconventional.”

“I think I could take you on anything,” whatever would make her just take on a man, even if she was absolutely clueless. But her mind was sharp, eyes good, strength well under control. It was just a game, she might be lucky enough. “Hmmm. Lay it on me, what do you propose?”
“ ‘Think’ being the key word there,” he said, trying to mess with her and get her worked up for the competition. He didn’t doubt she would put up a fight, and a bit of fierce competition was just what he needed. “You lose and you’ll have to wear a ducky tie and thick frame glasses when you come to the next legal strategy meeting.”

Their fingers snapped right in front of his face more. The more annoyed he would get, Gabriel would just drive it further. Liana might have to step in soon, but as of right now.. she was elsewhere. Suppressed. “Break my hand? I dare you,” Oh, an angel inside a fragile human body – fun.
Andre’s eyes fixed on the blonde girl, face still pretty expressionless. If only she knew that he actually could and maybe even would. For someone who tried his best to be a good guy for most of the time, he did have some very dark moments and he could feel one creeping up on him. Swept in his thought, his body just moved quicker than he could register, hand grabbing hers and giving it a little twist, but not enough to do actual damage. Just enough for her to not test him again, “You were saying?”

She had just gotten finished with her interview at the local police station and it was safe to say, it looked all too promising. Was this a city she would call home one day? The chances were very high. Selin being here added about ninety percent – who was she kidding? She was reason enough. Esma was just about to cross the street but had been held back. By a man. Attractive indeed - but was he scolding her? She started to laugh. Ridiculous. “Seriously? What are you gonna do? Fine me?” her grin wide, looking up at him.
He understood why people thought that jaywalking was no big deal. After all, if you’re just standing on the side of the road and there are no cars anywhere, are you really going to be stood there waiting for the green light? Still, being a police officer and living in Maladh, one could see quite a lot of things and you never know when a car can show up out of nowhere, speeding on the road and the last thing anyone needed was for a pedestrian to get injured or for them to cause an accident and put the driver in peril if they are not able to stop myself. “Potentially,” he mused before moving his jacket and showing the police badge on his belt. “Believe it or not, in certain places, people can actually end up in jail for jaywalking. Wanna roll the dice on what the law is here or would it be easier to take care of yourself and of those around you?”

Sports, sports… Hmm. Having to think back a little, she nodded her head after a moment. “I used to do tennis when I was in school like… fifteen years ago. And I did some dance in my early 20′s. But nothing more than that really.” She’d never really been the one to follow someone else’s rules, and so sports became an annoyance after a while, and she dropped out of the dance group when she figured that parties were far more fun and exciting to do.
“Just get more fit. And better core, since I often have to hold the same position at work.” Couldn’t exactly lose balance while sitting leaned over someone’s spine to tattoo them for hours. “I’d rather not do pull ups? They’re a fucking drag, and in my opinion? A waste of time.”
.
“Tennis and dance are good, regardless of how long ago you’ve done them.” he nodded, that means she had good stamina built up at some point and good technique. It also meant she shouldn’t be too difficult to work with, hopefully. “Right, it’s good to know that you want, means we can work towards it a lot easier,” Joshua gave her a little smile. “What is it that you do at work?” A chuckle escaped him at her remark about pull ups. “I am confident we can avoid those and still get you to where you want to be,” He moved over to where a couple of mats were and motioned at her to follow him. “Let’s get warmed up with a couple of exercises. If it’s been a while since you’ve had a proper work out, I don’t want you to leave her with a muscle inflammation. Start with your head and neck,” he said before starting to move his head in circles to demonstrate.

Dawson didn’t have too much faith in therapy in and of itself. Talking? No, that did very little. Working? Moving through life? Now that did some work. Though, some people needed to talk, and he was just glad there were others to deal with those. And they did handle the dumbasses who were ready to jump through windows more easily than he did. “He should not be armed when he comes here, considering he is being arrested.” He didn’t know if he was armed before that though. “He tried to rob an elderly human, and almost bit her, but she had silver spray in her pocket so she managed to push him away before he did.” But was it actually a vampire? He wasn’t even sure in that. Silver spray could annoy just about anyone. “I will always say yes to coffee, Cassie. I’m still alive, and until the day i die, i will need coffee.”
.
“No, of course, I know, that makes sense,” she rambled. For someone in her line of work, she should surely be able to articulate her thoughts better. “The reason why I am asking is because there are some things I could potentially draw on if I knew whether he was armed when he commited crime,” why didn’t she put it like that straight away? Cassie shook her head at the story Dawson was telling her, “As a professional, I should remain objective, but as a human, man robbing the elderly is just a no. I get why they could be seen as an easy target, but still, no,” maybe she was too soft for this. “Fair point, black no sugar?” she asked him as she walked over to the coffee machine and started putting the quarters in.

“Maybe for you. But I think getting to see it come to life is the best part.” Bailey kept her voice on the rather gentle side as she poke with Nina, trying to keep her relaxed and relieved, trying to keep her from stressing while she worked. “You do not need to look at the wrist at all. You can look at your phone even if that would be a relief.” She could work around a lot of things, if it kept her clients calm, relaxed, and from stressing. Tattoo gun moving along the lines, letting it come more and more alive. “Just a vibe?” She asked, a smile lingering on her face. “I get that. Just like, seeing something you need to have yourself.”
“Each to their own, I guess,” Nina mused and nearly shrugged but stopped herself in time. Imagine if she actually shrugged while Baily was working on the tattoo, phew. “It would actually, I am not very big on any type of needles,” she said as she fiddled with her phone using her free hand. There had to be something in there that would distract her. Weird DIY videos, people cutting their own fringe? So many things to choose from. “Yes, exactly, just a vibe,” she perked up a bit as Bailey mentioned that. “That and seeing something and being like, that’s me.”

Iva was in her own world, sending a message to her mother when a voice caused her to freeze. She turned, looking around and glancing back at the man. “Oh, yeah, sorry about that.” She frowned, stepping back and glancing around to see no car in sight. Her body guard was with her too and he didn’t seem all that bothered by a little jay walking. Curiosity filled her and she glanced back at him. “Do people actually…get arrested for jaywalking? I mean I guess I can see it from a liability thing, if there was an accident, but would a cop really take me to the station and book me?” She couldn’t help but ask. Interning at the police station gave her a glimpse into what it was like, and she honestly couldn’t recall ever seeing it be due to jaywalking.
“No worries, it is an easy thing to forget,” Fraser said in a much softer tone of voice. He should really be more aware of how he starts the conversations. “Well that really depends on the laws of the place you’re in,” he mused as he finally dropped his keys in his pocket and stopped fiddling with them. “Most places will just give you a fine, but some places you can get booked and arrested. Especially if you don’t have your ID on you when you happen to be jaywalking. There is a whole thing with the liability as well,” his ramble continued on. “If you jaywalked and got hit by a car, the driver still might be liable and carry a part of the blame. It is a much more complex matter than people realise.”

Of course she would do that. Fucking obvious. He chucked. “Fine!” Well, if one thing, he could drink. Even if those were not the years he did it as much anymore. He reached for the first shot, downing it right away. And no, you didn’t shudder anymore after a few solid thousand years as a pirate. No matter what your poison was. “Cheers,” he said, before another one went in to his system. Four, five – that was the half of it.
“That’s the spirit,” Cassie cheered him on as she patted him on the back before reaching for one of her shots. “Salud,” she toasted after downing the first shot. One down four to go... for now. The hangover in the morning will probably kill her, but it would be worth it. She downed the shots slower than he did, but she was keeping up. Her face slightly scrunched up after the last shot and peeking through one of her eyes, she glanced at him and raised one of her fingers, “another round?”

“Creative… mean… I think you’re mean.” he shrugged, “Listen. Hawaii is amazing. Ham and Cheese just goes with pineapple. I accept no words against it.” That’s just what it was.” He considered the options mentioned… “Sucks. I wanted some ice cream – but honestly, anything creamy? Just order,” he was not a picky eater, at all. “But order two, first of; maybe you want one and if not, I will have no problem eating it.”
.
“Eh, call it what you want to as long as that food gets here,” she shrugged as well. Not the first time someone called her mean. “Wow, sounds hella delusional. You better look up the therapists in the area, apparently they have skills,” not that she would know because she ignores her problems like a healthy person. “Oh, now that you mention it,” she mused as she continued to scroll. “There is some ice cream here after all. Cookie dough or fudge brownie?”

“Then don’t fucking order shit and then space out.” Rosalie said, waving the vial in front of his face once more. “And if you threaten me or my merchandise again, and I will show you flames.”
Andre could feel his teeth grinding together as he struggled not to break into a full on argument with the woman. Why did he ever agree to pick some stupid shit up for his client? He was a bodyguard, not an errand boy. “Thank goodness you don’t work with people in a more hands on capacity,” wow, so much about not being argumentative. “You know what, this is way out of my job remit. What’s the reservation number or reference or whatever you have to track this stuff? I’m sure my client would prefer to come and collect it themselves after all.”

His twin was a therapist, Cato was sure that this wouldn’t maybe not be so bad for her to imagine. Then again, the people she dealt with hopefully didn’t deal with exactly what was going on with him. He laid his head back against the couch, closing his eyes and rubbing them. “Like…I was standing there and there was like a whoosh,” he waved his other hand around in the air. “And all of a sudden there’s this voice in my head…His name is Michael, by the way, he’s an archangel…and yeah he’s still kickin around. He’s letting me take the reigns because I wanted to tell my sister what was going on.”
He stood, glancing down at his body before looking back at her. I could give her a little…show or something, Michael offered in his head and Cato frowned, tilting his head as he thought about it. “He..uh..wants to know if you wanna see it? You can talk to him if you want. He’s actually a pretty cool dude. He got me in contact with a like accountant? To help get my stuff together? And my apartment has never been cleaner, you should come over actually. He gets mad when I say he’s like a guardian angel bc archangel is like better or something but dude is pretty chill.”
The way Cato was leaning into her sofa and rubbing his eyes reminded her of some of her patients for a very brief moment. She actually had to remind herself that she needs to draw a line, she couldn’t see her brother in that capacity. And besides, her brother didn’t really need professional help. Or maybe he needed some support and she just wasn’t paying attention? Guilt started to eat away at her as she felt she had let him down. Her train of thought was quickly interrupted with Cato’s description of the events and even though a lot of weird stuff happens in Maladh and yes, she has seen a fair share of the weird up close, a ‘woosh’ sounded... well... like a child explaining stuff. Cassie just sat there for a moment, trying to weigh out what exactly is happening with her brother because hearing voices was never good in any capacity. “Cato,” she started, “he wooshed into you?” She repeated his words to him, trying to make more sense of the whole thing. “He what now?” now she was even more confused at a mention of the accountant. What in the hell was happening? Yet somehow, out of all the weird things Cato just said, the most unbelievable part was that his apartment was clean. “Does Michael speak to people a lot for you or does he just speak to you?” Wow, Cassie, could you sound any more judgemental? A bit more and you might as well disect him. “I’m sorry for that Cato, I didn’t mean to come off that way,” she apologised and rubbed her forehead. “It’s a lot to wrap your head around, you know?”

“All right, so what else you got for me?” Lucia asked with a teasing smile. “Boxing! That is always fun.” It did make her miss working up a sweat? But only until she remembered how stinky she’d become. No, it was definitely better to be a vampire. “Definitely. I will bring ear plugs just in case. I’ll have to be prepared now… never know what will await me in here,” she laughed and took a sip of her thick, red liquid. It wasn’t as tasty in a glass, but she did feel fancier this way.
“For weird looks, dye your hair with wall paint. It doesn’t damage your hair and it washes off,” probably not an idea anyone would expect to hear from a therapist. “Also, if you don’t like people, saying ‘Boo you, whore’ tends to cause quite a bit of outrage now and they tend to leave you alone. I guess some people never got around to watching Mean Girls,” another idea you probably wouldn’t expect to hear from a therapist. “Boxing is fun!” Cassie agreed and sipped on her drink some more. “Being prepared cuts your work in half, you’re welcome!” she jokingly took a little bow.

“Well that sucks.” Rosalie didn’t exactly like going to others to buy charmed or products with potions in, but she hadn’t specialized in beauty products such as shampoos and lotions, so instead she had to go shop them elsewhere. Considering her offer, she knew what she herself did, always writing down orders for people, offering to reserve and hold aside potions, or custom making the candles if people had specific scents or colors they wanted. “I’m open to checking out other products ready right away. running a little bit low and I’d rather not interrupt my morning routine.”
“I know, sorry about that,” Maya apologised again. She usually wasn’t an apologetic type, but it was all different when she was at work. Playing nice was a must, how else would one drive the business. “Makes perfect sense, let’s see what we can find for you,” she said with a light smile and headed towards a shelf that was stocked with different shampoos. “Can you give me a bit more information on your hair structure and your current routine for nurturing it? Would be good to know so I can recommend something specific.”

Her words had him relieved and he stepped back again, taking a seat in his chair. “Yes, please. Sit.” He offered her a seat as well. This might be difficult to seperate, but he was willing to work with having an assistant so he would not rip himself apart between two jobs. “Well, I generally don’t have problems with the press. I think it’s important that people know what’s going on,” but after a moment he added. “I do understand though. My phone was blowing up and there were reporters all over the hotel after I announced running. It absolutely understand, and I am grateful for you. So, general rule? Take all the informations you can and I can call them myself if it’s reasonable. General rule though? No tabloids, no gossip blogs.”
That would be set. Now on to the next. “Family is always a yes.” for sure. “In time you will learn the people I consider close to me and where to draw the line.” because yes, he needed her for his own boundaries he didn’t respect. “Anything hotel related is always a yes. I will leave my meetings for my brothers and the hotel.” Priorities first. “Hmm. Oh - Lazar is always a yes. High table members I can call back.”
.
“Thank you,” she smiled at him before taking a seat on one of the empty chairs. She clicked her pen, ready to make some notes with the information he was about to share. With all the things she needed to learn and new processes she had to memorise, she’d rather be writing things down than risk forgetting them. “That’s fair,” she nodded at him before starting to scribble as he spoke. “Grab all the info and contact details for call backs but no tabloids and gossip blogs, got it,” it was pretty much what she did before they have had this chat so she was happy she didn’t mess it up straight away. “I’ve taken some information and contact details earlier and they are in the email I mentioned. Would you mind giving me some feedback once you’ve had a chance to look at it all? I wouldn’t mind getting you more information or something else if you need it.” While he said the family was always a yes, she still didn’t know who he was referring to. Well, aside his brothers which he mentioned. “So family is a yes, okay. Would you mind still giving me a list of names? Might be easier for me to recognise them that way than asking them if they’re close with you. You never know what someone can say,” can’t be too careful around here for certain. “Hotel and Lazar yes, got it and high table members are a call back,” she repeated everything so she was 100% sure she got it right. “Anything else you need me to know?”
