I felt like this place out of all places would appreciate my drawing of Mr. Lord of the Mists. Mr. had the audacity to succumb to his own fate so dramatically just to SIMPLY make a religion out of himself. I really like his character (as a person, questionable, he is damaged and needs to do so much work on himself.) certainly one of my favorite archetypes. Ah yes, the Antihero! Can never go wrong.

Anyways I listened to “Fool for Love” by Lord Huron while painting this, and there are tons of lyrics in that song that make me imagine what he might, and could’ve been like, if Mare hadn’t passed AND if he would’ve been allowed to be soft. Same devotion to everybody he values now just with a little more sense and a lot less craving for blood LMAO. I also drew a connection to the title “Fool for Love” to him claiming he is Hope and then immediately dying. Fool for Love, Fool for Hope. There is so much that could’ve been different if he hadn’t been doomed from the start.
