I have so many thoughts about these boys….here have a doodle dump as a treat (from most recent to earliest)

I think that the first comics Stan did were just idealized versions of himself and his brother, (where they never fight, and where Al can always protect Egbert from anything, and where they find gold sail the sea and live happily ever after) but, as time goes on, this becomes less and less satisfying as his real brother gets harder and harder to remember
