Cry From The Void, Chapter 1, Part 3
Part three
The sirens of police vehicles wailed through the streets as they headed towards the sounds of explosions near 23rd street. An officer and his partner raced the car to the location of the disturbance. “John! Hurry!” his partner warned him, “I know Davis! I-” an crash sent the car flying through the air, hurling towards a nearby building. The two officers would be dead in seconds, no time to say their prayers or admit their regrets. All they had time to do was blink.
But in that split second a flash of bright blue light showed itself to them, and when they finished blinking they were safely parked next to the building they had been thrown at only a second ago. A man in jet black armor and blue accents was standing in front of them, all they could do was stare in awe of the super human that stood before them.
As seems to be the case with these officers they only had that split second to admire the man, as he was gone before they could appreciate the craftsmanship of his armor or thank him. The man disappeared into a beam of electricity and into the ground the beam traveled, barely even visible to the naked eye.
There she stood, in front of a pillar of smoke and corpses of the innocent. A figure emerged from the smoke, one would think it was a man or a monster, or even any flesh and blood. But the thing that stepped out of the chaos was metal man, an android.
The android stood seven feet tall, and was silver everywhere but the two slits on its face. The slits traveled down its body like decals in a sword, made by an expert blacksmith. The slits glowed a bright crimson.
The beam of electricity soon appeared and from it spawned Eric. “Ele! You’re here! You see this thing?” Ali cried out in annoyance to Eric, who’s hero alias was “Electrixx”; which was a name he sorely regret as he came up with it his first year of highschool. A squad of heavily armored police officers rolled onto the scene and took cover behind some cars aiming at the android. “Listen! I don’t know what you want or why you’re doing this! But you need to stop! And something tells me you’re not the talking sort. So I’m gonna have to stop you here!” Eric yelled as electricity formed an intimidating aura around him. But the android stood there, not even acknowledging the statement.
“Guess you’re right Ele, let's show him how we New Luminans show our hospitality!” Ali said as she cracked her knuckles giving the android a gruesome gaze.
“Right!” Eric transformed into electricity and rushed to the android at the speed of light and entered the android body. Electricity erupted in waves from the android, but it still only stood there, not reacting in the slightest. Ali hurled herself at the android, not a single sense of fear in her eyes; even despite the fact she was only a human that had slight magnetic abilities. This power allowed herself to have her own gravitational force around her if she pleased during that moment, it only lasts a second when she enables it but she knew how to use her powers so well, she only needed a second to grab a light pole and use her powers to fling herself at lightning speeds to the android. Even with these two amazing heroes attacking it; the android still didn’t even flinch.
In one smooth motion the android reached its arm to its shoulder, and its hand transformed into a kind of energy coil. It activated it and absorbed the electricity from its body and flung it at Ali. The electricity turned back into Eric, and he collided with Ali. The collision was accompanied by a painful thud; at least for Ali it was. “Ugh!” the two cried in unison as they collided into each other. “What happened!?” Ali brazenly bashed Eric; “I couldn’t do anything to him, I think he runs on nuclear energy” Eric responded. The two began to recover as the android decided to acknowledge their existence as pests.  “Argh!” Ali screamed in pain, it seemed that the impact of their collision broke her leg.
She fell back to the ground in pain, Eric kneeled to her and touched the area the leg was broken. She felt a gentle tingle from the area and as she looked, she saw Eric following small amounts of electricity into her body.
“This should stimulate your body enough to ignore the pain and regenerate the injury faster” He stated, “But still, you should give it a second while it heals” he stood up and turned back to the android that waited patiently for them to finish. “Call Dante while I keep him busy. We might need all three of us to stop this guy” Eric zapped over to the android once more, this time only shooting electricity at it. It seems he was only trying to distract it while the other two got ready. “Empty! We need backup get here now I’m calling Dante over as well!” She continued to talk on the radio while Eric fought the android.
Eric shot lightning bolts at the android with no effect, “Dammit!”. The android looked up at him and stared for a second. The android began to shake violently; it had started to morph its figure into a more slender version of itself. The creaking of metal threw Eric off as he cover his ears from the sound. The sound seemed like it would go on forever, Eric felt his ears would explode any second. Then, without a warning; the area was dead quiet. The officers had not been affected by the ear muffs their armor came with so they saw the android disappear into the ground, almost like a poor imitation of what Eric had done earlier. “Watch out Electrixx! Belo-” an officer screamed as a metal, snake like form erupted from the ground below Eric. The rope like figure that exploded from the ground had started to morph again into the slender form it took before disappearing. Eric looked at the android morphing right below it, he tried to escape by transforming into electricity but the android had already been ten steps ahead.
Its hand was the coil that had grabbed Eric before and without hesitation it grabbed Eric as he transformed and collected him into the coil. The android then flung him at the ground with the sounds of cars and cement exploding. “What the hell is this thing!” Eric shot electricity out to the broken pieces of car and cement, using the electricity to carry the objects; he threw them at once at the android. “Take this you bastard!”. Eric may have spoke too soon. As the android lifted its hand and activated some kind of force field, the objects that he had thrown were orbiting it like a planet’s moons. A second later the objects flew back at Eric. He was able to transform and dodge them; but the important part was that he knew how the android worked now.
He returned to Ali who was hiding behind cover with the officers from earlier. “Did you see that?” Eric asked; “Yeah, that tin can’s copying our powers” Ali responded as she struck the ground with her fist, causing the pebbles around her to float for a second, then falling to the ground. “You feel better?” Eric asked; “Yeah, I’m fine” Ali responded quickly.
“So what are we gonna do about the wonderful wizard of Oz over there?” Ali joked, with only a few officers of the older variety chuckling. “Well, he copies our powers, but it only seems like he can imitate them to a certain extent. Like he can’t replicate my electricity since it's just me, but he can imitate what I do by morphing its body” Eric responded. “And now that I get a good look at it, it seems like that force field around isn’t really a force field” Ali stated. “Yeah it looks almost like a bunch of ropes moving extremely fast, to imitate your power” Eric stood up; “I have a plan” . Ali looked up and nodded at him assuring him, that she had his back.
Just then android disappeared again underground, only to reappear in front of the group; morphing once more. But before the android could do anything else, Dante launched into action, kicking the android back into the ground, causing it to flee.
“Hey, guys!” Dante stated rather mockingly to the group. “What took you so long? you live like, three seconds away!” Ali stated annoyed at him. “Everything’s fine, I wanted to see him in action before I jumped in” Dante said rather unconvincingly; “So you’re aware that this android can copy, or at least poorly imitate one’s powers” Dante could feel Eric’s stern gaze from his jet black visor that covered his entire head in a rhombus shape. “Of course I did!” Dante stated, convincing the others this was true.
I should have actually paid attention to the fight instead of trying to catch that really rare monster on my phone!
Though Dante looked confident on the outside; no one was truly convinced he actually knew so. They just played along.
The trio stepped out from cover to witness the android once more, only this time it was fighting hand-to-hand combat with a short man (about 5’3) in some rather impressive combat prowess. “Empty!” The three yelled in excitement; “So that was why it didn’t attack us again” Dante joked.
The two were locked in some intense combat, trading blows  back and forth like it was nothing. “Well it's four on one” Eric stated; Ali cracked her knuckles once more “let's beat the crap out of Roger over here”. Ali clenched her fists together and the other two floated above the ground, circling her in orbit. She grabbed each of them by the leg and threw them at the two that were fighting. Dante’s hands became engulfed by the void and Eric charged his body with more electricity, focusing it all into his fist. The two readied their fists to strike the android at once, when Empty saw this he knocked the android off-balance and prepared to strike it as well.
The three struck the android with all their might; completely obliterating the upper torso of the android and sending its remains flying through the air. Ali rushed to their side, “Did we get it?” Ali had spoken too soon. Just as fast as the three had obliterated the body of the android it was already back on its two feet reforming its upper torso.
“That's one tough cookie” Empty said with a cute voice behind a terrifying looking costume and helmet. He wore a bright white trench coat with orange accents along the outside buttons and pockets. Under it; he wore a white vest, with again orange accents. And to top it all off, he wore a vaguely alive looking helmet over his head. Dante couldn’t put his finger on it but the helmet looked like something from a videogame he used to play.
The four stood together strong, ready to fight again. The android examined the four and zipped underground, moving fast towards them. It erupted from the ground; going to grab Eric once more. But he was prepared for it this time, he didn’t transform to the androids surprise. Eric grabbed the android’s arm while it activated the coil and he ripped off its arm and kicked the android away. Eric threw the arm away like burger wrapper.
“That cheap trick only works once!” He screamed in anger as he used his electricity to grab chunks of metal and cement to form makeshift spears. The android landed perfectly on its hand and knees, looking at its opponent. “Th-tha-that ch-cheap t-rick only worksss once!”; replied to him. “So it does talk?” Ali readied herself in a fighting stance. Eric launched the spears through the air, eventually landing in the android’s body. But the android only stood there, repeating what Eric had said to itself “That cheap trick only works once!”; the android grew a new arm and grabbed the spears lodged in its body and ripped them out. “ONLY WORKS ONCE!” the android lunged at Eric with both spears in hand, as the android lunged it replicated several more spears made of the same metals it was. Eric braced for impact with an electric shield, but instead of attacking him directly the android landed a few feet from him and threw each spear into the ground a few few apart from each other, encircling Eric in spears. The Android jumped back as the top of the spears opened up and zapped electricity at Eric; this formed a chain around his neck and hands forcing him into an uncomfortable position. “Crap!” He cried out.
The Android continued repeating the words “Only once!”;  it spawned a field of tiny, fast moving tentacles to replicate Ali’s powers. “Eh?” Ali shifted back as it locked onto her; it launched itself at her, only to be intercepted by Empty giving it a powerful roundhouse kick to the head. “What’s up with this thing, Ali?” Empty shifted his position to a defensive posture in front of Ali. “I don’t know, but cover me while I free Eric.” Ali ran at full speed to the spears surrounding Eric, the android saw this and shifted its gaze upon her. But before it could give chance Empty ran up to it and kicked its head clean off; “keep your eyes on me!”.
Dante saw this as an opportunity to destroy it for good, he channeled the void energy into his right arm as he stretched it back, preparing to throw the spear that was forming in his hand. “Aim for the head” he whispered to himself, “No, aim for the rooftop above you”. “Eh? What?” he looked around puzzled; “Who said that?”. The head of the android fell back to the ground where the android picked it up and reattached it. “Dante! What are you doing!?” Empty yelled at Dante, probably expecting a clear answer that Dante did not possess.
Empty lunged at the android and proceeded to fight it one-on-one. Where as Dante, was still in his own head. He heeded the words of his conscious and looked up to the rooftops to find a massive, hulking, figure. Their gazes met and Dante could see giant bug-like, crimson eyes. Dante crouched and focus the void energy to his calves and feet. He then launched into the air to everyone’s surprise. “Dante!” Empty and Ali screamed as their friend had completely abandoned the fight.
The massive figure left his line of sight right before he leapt onto the building, disappearing from the fight.
“Crap!” Empty was stuck fighting the android alone, while Ali tried to free Eric. Empty was then pinned to the ground by the android, struggling to get it off. Empty then gazed at Ali and Eric, but more importantly the spears. They seemed to be connected to each other, so Empty thought that maybe if one was taken out they all would be; possibly followed by a decent explosion too. Empty then allowed the android to push him down completely; where he then used the android’s imbalance to perch his legs below the android’s torso and proceed to launch the android into the spear. “Ali! Get out of the way now!” Ali heard Empty yell and she rolled out of the way as the Android collided with the spear and causing a huge explosion where they once stood.
Eric was freed and escaped the explosion the second the link between the spears was severed, using his transform abilities. The three watched as the smoke cleared and revealed the android had begun to regenerate again. “You’ve got to be kidding me!” Eric cried in defeat. The three readied themselves for battle once more, “Today’s gonna be a long day, huh guys?” Empty asked; “No thanks to that bozo Dante not doing anything!” Ali screeched.
The android stood in the fire and smoke and faced the three once again, it stepped forward slowly. Taking its time to menace the three. Until it stopped in its tracks; twitching, almost if it didn’t intend to stop. “What’s wrong with it?” Empty kept his guard up as the android continued to convulse, violently. The Android then started blinking its lights slowly. “Get down!” Eric yelled as he used his electricity to form a barrier around the seizing android. Eric completely covered the android just before it exploded into dust, with Eric barely being able to hold the explosion back.
When the dust settled the android was nowhere to be seen, with the only evidence of its existence being the carnage it caused during the fight.

So, hi! Second, I'll introduce myself.
Greetings! My name is Hiimpurple, this is the alias I go by pretty much anywhere on the Internet. And just to make sure, its pronounced "Hi! I'm Purple" not "Him-purple" just to clear any confusion.
Now, this story I'm taking the time to share with anyone who stops by this blog, is a passion project of mine. I've been cooking up this story in my brain for years! Like actually years, these characters I've created, I've been making up stories in my head for them since I was in middle school. And I have now created a story that ive been dying to share but, not being an acclaimed author I dont have an outlet to share it. So I thought "why not share it on tumblr?" So thats what i did, I made a tumblr account and the rest as they say is history. If you've made it this far then I welcome you to my page, I hope you enjoy this story just as much as I have been writing it. I'm not that great with grammar so sorry if I use some punctuation wrong :P.
I have a lot of story left to tell in this world I've created so I hope if you've read this far you'll stay with me in the long haul. I'll try to keep the chapters releasing on a regular basis, but as life has a lot of mystery to it, I can't keep any promises. So from my heart, I thank you for viewing my page and reading my story if you decided to.
I hope you enjoy your stay <3

Cry From The Void, Chapter 1, Part 1
Chapter 1
Part one
The wind roared, violently assaulting the young man’s ears. He opened his eyes, to see a black abyss with a man standing above him as he fell. “huh?” He blinked and he was falling, thousands of feet above the ground, buildings rushing past him, if he didn’t do  something now he would hit the ground and become the headline of today’s news. He watched as the ground came closer and closer, it looked almost inviting. “Should I even try to stop?” he whispered to himself, he suddenly snapped out of his trance and examined his situation with fear, “Shit!” the young man was seconds away from embracing the ground, but just before, he extended his arms and crossed them, forming claws with his hands. He braced for impact and summoned all his strength.
Without hesitation a black void surrounded his hands and taking their shape, covering them like a second layer of skin, reaching out towards his elbows and he used his elbow to land on the ground.
And with a loud “CRASH!!!” he had finally touched down, in a rather gorgeous bloodworks display. That is, if he was a normal human. But this six-teen year old kid was no normal human. A crowd of people surrounded the crash site, the kid stood back on his two feet, examining his situation and the crowds. “EVERYONE GET BACK! NOW!” he yelled to the bystanders as a flash of light beamed towards him at top speed. The crowd had seen the beam and rushed to get away from the crash site, in a split second, the beam of light had closed the distance towards the young man. “I’m not done with you boy!” the beam had suddenly grown  a body and limbs, and a face, and that face had an evil expression on it. The boy crossed his arms once more to brace for impact from the attack. The man had finally landed in the young man’s face.
He launched the attacker off of him and readied himself for a fight.
The young man yelled out, “Ugh! Devastator! I really don’t have time for this!”. The Devastator egged on the boy, “Awe! Look at chu! So cute! You got a date? Well let me doll you up!” the Devastator charged balls of light in his hands and without a hint of hesitation, launched the two balls of light directly at him.
The kid extended his arm away from his body and his other in front of him to protect himself. Within seconds the black void that was on his arms left them and formed a pure black blade, and a pure black shield.
The balls of light impacted the shield and exploded fantastically, he lowered his shield as the shield returned to his arm. The kid then launched himself at the devastator with blade in hand. The Devastator readied two more balls of light and threw them at the kid, but the kid sliced through the balls of light, with more fantastical explosions. He emerged from the explosion, grabbing the blade with both hands. The void on his other arm moved to the blade, the once flimsy, katana-like, blade was now turned into a huge hammer. He finally closed the distance between him and the devastator, and it one continuous motion, raised the giant hammer, turned around, and spun himself and the hammer towards the Devastator’s puny looking face. The hammer had made an impact with the ugly russian’s face, and for a second distorting it with the impact sending teeth, spit and a little bit of blood flying.
The hit sent the Devastator flying towards a wall, making a loud crash along with it. He raised the hammer to rest on his shoulder, but he realized he didn’t have his mask on, he wasn’t worried about the devastator remembering his face, he wasn’t going to be awake for a few hours. But he was worried about the crowd that was beginning to form around him. He lowered his backpack and reached for something. After searching for an awkwardly long time he opened his eyes in realization and let out a little “Yippie!” and brought out a mask.
The mask was split down the middle, one side was more angular and “robotic”, while the other was smoother and devil like, with a horn poking out.he placed the mask on his face, cover his head with the hood from his jacket, stayed just long enough to get recognized by the news and crowd for taking down the villain and left home.
The building he lived in was a shabby old abandoned apartment building on 23rd street. The neighborhood was nice.. It had its usual friendly thugs and dealers that had their own special way of greeting and welcoming newcomers. He walked up to the steps leading into the building entrance when he was stopped by the heavy stomping of a man encased in armor.
The armor was jet black. With accents of blue, and blue spikes, adorned on the top of his helmet like a crown a king would wear. The youngman stopped and glared at the man in armor with a menacing look; he turned his body to meet the man in armor. “What do you want?” he spoke with the words of a broken record. “I can’t let you keep doing this..” the man in armor said, he took two steps forward to meet the young man.
“There’s nothing you can say to stop me” he said coldly, “Fine, have it your way” the man in armor menaced back to the kid.
The two were now within inches from each other’s faces, like animals fighting for a female. “Let’s settle this? Shall we? Dante?” The man in armor stared into the endless void that was Dante’s jet black eyes. “Jeez! You’re already making a move on him? You beat me to it Eric!” a feminine voice erupted, rather rudely into the staring contest. The two bewildered men raised their gazes towards the voice. A girl no, a woman stood above them, she wore a small red leather jacket, some fingerless gloves and rocked some short black hair with crimson accents. This girl was the typical “biker girlfriend” style of woman, only she lacked the girlfriend part since the only guy she loves doesn’t see her that way; no matter how many times she throws herself at him.
That man  was in fact, Dante.
Even though her body was one that any man who put their gaze upon her would instantly heel at her feet to even have a chance with her, Dante never saw her like that.
It isn’t to say he didn’t like her; rather he liked her too much, he was afraid of dropping everything for her and falling in love with her and forgetting everything else he needed to work towards. So, Dante chose to lock away those human feelings he had for her, for that he had two reasons. One was because he wanted to focus on other things, another was because of something that she did recently.
“I don’t want to speak to either of you” Dante turned back, walking towards the building entrance. “Dante, are you still mad at me?” she said softly, she exposed part of her cleavage as she said that to Dante, but he paid it no mind and answered with a plain and fast “Yes”. The fast remark threw her for a curve as she had physically been taken aback. Dante opened the doors to the building and entered without even acknowledging the others. “Jeez, I can’t believe he’s still pissed at me. I didn’t think it would hurt him that much” she changed her posture and tone as she said this, she wasn’t acting anymore.
But unfortunately for her, she had been too convincing and had Eric’s gaze, affixed onto her. “What are you looking at?” she said as she spat at his feet and walked away. “S-sorry Ali” he stated to her as he followed her, “Just talk to h-” an alarm on her radio interrupted her. “Ali! You there! We have a situation near 23rd street!” a young sounding voice came out from the other end of the radio. A loud “BOOM” followed the alert, “Looks like we got bigger problems now Ali” Eric stated, “Y-yeah, lets go, Dante must’ve heard the alert to. Hopefully he’ll show up” she started towards the sound, heading towards the mysterious threat.

Cry From the Void, Prologue
The quiet, dark and desolate plain looked as if a fire had consumed all life in it. Not a single blade of grass, or a bug had shown its presence, it was as if life had never even been considered by whatever cruel God had created the land.
The wasteland would never be home, or even be considered as an alternate route for someone to travel through. But nevertheless, a figure was strolling through the terrain, The figure was tall and had an unusual mask covering its face. The figure crossed the plain, looking for something. After what could be presumed to be hours, maybe even days, the figure stopped in their tracks. The masked figure looked down and examined the uneven ground his left foot stood upon. The figure reached towards the ground and picked up a severed hand. The figure tossed the hand back to its grave, and raised it’s head to examine the area ahead of them. In front of him was a building, sitting in solitude.
The figure continue and entered the building. Looking around and examining each patch of mold, each destroyed room, until they’d found the room they were looking for. The door was a simple metal sliding door, the figure forced the door open, hearing the painful screech from the building as if it cried for them to stop. The figure stepped into the room, examining it to the fullest extent, until it’s gaze became affixed onto a man sitting on a step leading to a metal archway, affixed with wires and other metals. The man stood up, as tall as the heavens. “Stop this. Please.” The man walked out of the shadows towards the masked figure, in the shadows he had seemed normal, until the light of the outside showed he was encased in a body of armor, jet black, with blue accents and blue spikes on his helmet. The armor seemed to be skin tight, but he moved in it with ease. The man stood in front of the figure, ready to stop him at all costs.
