i had another theory ; the amulet belonged to camia. even though it's possible that it is his, or maybe from his mom/dad/brother, it seems somewhat logical to me that the amulet serves as some sort of "memento mori", a physical object that belonged to her so he can hold on to the memories he has with camia.

(thank you so much @sipsoftea for your insights about this ! the connections between the engraved pebbles/coins and the fact that altmer are super mindful about their family name/lineage is 10/10. i'm on the same wavelenght ; the bones are definitely a warning sign sksksk)

nebarra fans ; i have a question

i'm maybe dumb, or maybe i'm not cultured enough about altmer/es lore in general, but i've never seen anyone talk about this part of nebarra's armor. especially about the bones that hang from his hips and what i think are ears (i really don't know, they look like pebbles too). the amulet of akatosh (or in this case, auriel) is what puzzles me the least (even though i wonder about that too) but yeah-

my first thoughts was that the bones belonged to the corpses of the redguards that he killed during the war (i counted 8/7 i think ? 10/9 if ears are indeed hanging alongside the bones) but i could be totally wrong here !

for context, they started fighting after I finished killing the bear ; nebarra was still with his sword in hand and he charged at xelzaz who re-animated the bear. ultimately, they both went down at (almost) the same time (xelzaz was the first by a second before the bear destroyed nebs).
