hey i need some fusion requests/asks or just requests in general cause i have some time to draw! Just don’t expect anything too fancy

I really like the idea that due to Lapis being able to fly and Jasper not being able to effects the legs for differences in legs can reflect on each gem’s form of transportation. 

Another idea is Lapis’s dilemma of being land stuck through self imprisonment  thus unable to fly away from her problems could also be displayed in having extra legs (or arms? who knows) weighing malachite down with the final sacrifice being dragged into the sea. 

Fusion bodies

I’ve been wondering if in fusions, the body parts that are duplicated reflect on differences with the gems in how they do certain things.

Such as Opal having two arms possibly meaning how Pearl and Amethyst have separate ways of dealing with things. The eyes however are a bit perplexing for it could show that Pearl and Amerhyst could see eye to eye (ignore the pun) on several things or a remainder of how close they were in the past.

 Or how Rainbow Quartz (a near perfect fusion) has multiple eyes, possibly representing how Rose and Pearl, though close, have different views on the world and reasons for what they do. Such as Rose fighting for the planet to save it from the doom other gems gems were inflicting on it and Pearl fighting to be close to Rose.

If this is true then it can help add on to how Alexandrite looks

Far from a perfect fusion with a bunch of arms, the mouth thing and whatever lies behind those glasses. you can easily attribute which arm represents which gem with how they are colour coded and it can show how differently the gems take action against whatever comes up to them.  Or how they deal with the problem they’re faced with (like their varied fighting styles and willingness to fight)

Even the mouth can show the reaction to food with pearl vs amethyst.

Now this is only a theory on how body parts are effected during a fusion while the rest of a fusion is based upon the relationship a gem has to the other gem/s emotionally and mentally. any ideas comments I’d love to hear!

I'm inclined to agree with your thoughts on gem fusions, but wouldn't that mean garnet is a huge outlier? so far, the fusions that involve garnet end up looking much rougher (sugilite and alexandrite). do you think that's because garnet is already a fusion? garnet (as a fusion) looks seamless, and besides the one extra eye, is indistinguishable from the others. i would think ruby would side closely with amethyst and sapphire with pearl, so how do you explain it?

Talking about fusions is generally quite tricky especially with Garnet. I can understand where your’e coming from with the ruby and sapphire thing but the problem is is that we shouldn’t separate Garnet’s personality traits into a ruby and sapphire pile for that isn’t how fusion works. Its more like a combination which forms into a different unique personality. 

I like to think of fusion as a personification of the fusing gems relationship to  one another with like said in my theory that their most major differences are shown through whatever body part is duplicated. Someone pointed out that the reason each gem has for fusing also effect the total look of the body.

To expand further on the last point lets take another look at Sugulite as you mentioned

I don’t think Sugulite looks tough because Garnet is a fusion and might of had an impact but instead because of the conflicting reasons why Amethyst and Garnet fused.

Garnet simply had the idea of just destroying those towers so she needed a lot of strength which came from a fusion.

Amethyst on the other hand most likely agreed to fusion because she enjoys how much power Sugulite has and knowing Amethyst she loves to have access to showing off strength maybe because being an (in the words of Jasper) “over cooked runt”  made her feel as if she’s not physically capable enough. 

Alexandrite’s look on the other hand cant be blamed on Garnet being a fusion but more on the total disharmony for the gems reasoning and willingness to fuse. 

so in total, no i dont think Garnet being a fusion has effect on other fusions she takes part in but instead her motives for doing so and larger differences between her and her fusing partner

Now for more improbable fusion art! This time featuring Lapis and Sapphire! Naturally i doubt they'd get along well at all enough to even consider fusing  so in the highly unlikely case they fuse they'll probably have a ton of extra limbs. 

The fusion’s name is Turquoise! They're very long and slender, and are reminiscent of the old Medival unicorn interpretations, being able to cleanse water of unpure substances and whatnot.

Thought so, they both share a lot of similarities and I doubt they wouldn't have some sort of connection in regards of family. It'd be fun to see an episode where we learn more about sadie’s life as in actually seeing her intereact with her family but nobody is sure what future episode hold at all anymore.

Ah gee thanks You so much!! Like I enjoy drawing both digitally and traditionally, often I prefer traditionally since you don't need to boot up some computer and I can do it whenever I like. Digitally is fine too for colouring pictures with a wider palette but right now I have no computer to use so I like to stick just with a regular piece of paper and whatever I can find!

Noticing that Garnet and Pearl dont have their star designs on (amethyst’s was a little hard to see) so I'm assuming something important happened along the timeline of when Rose and Greg meet to when Steven is born. Maybe Greg inspired Rose or something along of the lines of so? But due to that fact all the gems are in different clothing we can assume whatever the event was it certinly had a huge impact
