Hello, I really like your LISA posts and i'm interested to know your opinion about this. Do you think the LISA series suffers from a rick and morty syndrome? Basically a story that accidentally attracts the kind of people who don't really understand it's message and relate to the aspects it tires to criticize. I haven't been into the series for too long and I've already noticed a worrying amount of victim blaming, misogyny, and all around toxic masculinity. What do you think of this?

YES. 100% WHOLEHEARTEDLY FUCKING YES.

lisa is one of the most accurate and empathetic depictions of abuse ive ever seen in a video game (and in most media tbh), and its fanbase is made up of fucking edgy shithead guys who watched fight club and thought it was a model for how to behave. it got so bad that austin, who normally tries to keep details about the characters vague (apart from whats shown in the games), confirmed that buddy was nowhere close to 18 years old because of how much fucking porn and other nsfw art people were drawing of her.

please think about that for a second. people were drawing porn of buddy. a character who has explicitly been stated IN CANON to be very, very young. a character whose father and aunt were both victims of sexual abuse. a character whose entire story involves nonstop fleeing from and fighting against BASICALLY EVERY MAN ALIVE, all of whom intend to sexually assault her en masse. they were drawing porn of THAT character.

if anything, id take it further and say that the lisa fanbase does a much better job codifying this issue than rick and morty. rick and morty is obviously more popular, but the lisa series takes that problem to its complete logical extreme. to wit: these guys are sexualizing a fucking child, making her look sexy and drawing porn of her and shit, getting off to it, then turning around and insulting her. all of a sudden shes too violent, shes too aggressive, shes ungrateful, shes a brat, shes a bitch, etc. any of that sound familiar??

why? there is a national protest tomorrow, there will most likely be many dead and wounded, maduro is paying people (who are not even chavistas) $50-100$ to serve as human shields.

maduro is going to proclaim himself consecutively in an illegal manner on 10/01/2025, without showing electoral records that demonstrate his victory.

we are aware that our opposition leaders can give the USA a lot of freedom, but we prefer that and having a new problem, to continuing to endure 27 years of constant threats, and restrictions on our public services. one of the reasons why we love maria corina so much is because she, since chavez was still alive, and we had not yet known what it was like to not have food in our refrigerators, she confronted chavismo every chance she got, even though everyone (incluiding chávez) made fun of her and took advantage of her because she was a female opponent in a political space full of nasty mens.

minorities (like me 🏳️‍🌈) are constantly mocked on open television (mandatory btw) making fun of us, women, and trans people.. making blackface and also naming how they have invaded and destroyed indigenous spaces..

also, if you think it's cool that he said "free palestine" on open tv, you don't want to know which illegitimate country he secretly exports weapons to (and also owns a lot of private oil) lol..
