Nia and Dolly in the same world but less traumatized (Nia is a mother figure to Dolly, and Dolly, well... She's trying to understand the world she lives in.)

Did some fanart of Tidy from the little trashmaid for the Lost And Found prompt. I don't know how the artist draws so much trash so well

late earth day
Tumblr media
right now, the earth sucks to live on. before you think "y'mean like the geopolitics going on right now?" let me say that it's not just the geopolitics. it's the geo- as well. plastic's still lounging in the ocean, air is still sickly with toxins (and plastic), animals die of greed, it's the whole shebang at this point. the least we can do as the creatures stuck on this planet is try to make it better while we still are around. it's gonna look good on our PR.
the drawing proper is a mix between tidy--because it's not the cursive m without the little trashmaid--and a short film called HYBRIDS, which is about a future in which nature adapts and animals are born from junk. that grouper fish over there? sorry buddy that's also an oil barrel. it's a creative short film that take the pollution issue into a fresh perspective, even if it is unlikely we'll see any car-sharks anytime soon.
youtube
the short film is right here.
other than that, save our planet.

don't do gen-ai
Tumblr media
on bluesky (because i have that), in the middle of a discussion about a DA user who abandoned their skill in the name of generative ai, an account compared the popularity of gen ai to that of a new, hip, addictive and destructive drug that everyone's taking and many are being pressured to join because it's "cool." and we all know how the 1980s turned out with the oncoming PSA's against drug use led by ol' ronald reagan. hopefully PSA's against gen ai are more effective than those drugs psa, because while there are some good sides to drugs (even the ones we were made to believe were bad), there's no positive to gen ai.
that's mainly why i took this old print ad from what's now "Partnership to End Addiction" and twisted the words around. i like this edit. we should do more of these.

A Day in "Termite Terrace"
An idea for a mockumentary that satisfies Warner executives and Bugs Bunny advocates alike.
Okay, here's a crackpot idea I had a while back.
So everybody knows Warner Bros. loves live action shows. I would use some dirty euphemism to exemplify how much they love live action shows, but why would I do that when I can just tell you that The Big Bang Theory is airing on MTV and Nick at Nite right now? Not only that, but they've made plans to tear down Building 131 (a house that housed Looney Tunes) in the name of live action slop. Why didn't they just keep the building up and renovate it a little bit? I don't know. Don't question Zaslav. Just put a picture of him on your dartboard and you're set.
So yeah, as you can also tell, Warner hates the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies for some ungodly reason. Maybe it's the Animaniacs reboot's fault, but I don't know. Everybody keeps telling the studio that this means war, Warner's motto turns into "set our own tail on fire," rinse and repeat until the 24th-and-a-half century.
But then there's my crackhead idea for a show that Warner could do which both satisfies their live action ego and "throws the Looney Tunes fans a bone." A mockumentary inspired by shows like The Office, which also highlights Termite Terrace's history and significance. From the moment we met the Talk-Ink Kid to the time Cool Cat said "So cool it now, ya hear?"
There is the occasional interview where we dig into the thoughts and minds of the creators and animators, maybe get a snippet of "Mel Blanc" voicing the characters (I wouldn't even mind that Mel's Bugs voice would be provided by Eric Bauza himself), heck I would like to see clips of the animators working on the cartoon. Imagine how neat it would be to see somebody working on "Baseball Bugs" in real time?
I guess the potential downside is "How are they going to tackle cartoons from that period?" It can go either ways for the Censored 11 side of things for example. If they show the cartoon being made, that would bring up accusation after accusation from mindless internet drones and (more importantly) mess with the intent of the Censored 11--that these cartoons with horribly outdated depictions of African-Americans would never air on TV one way or another (we can assume that's why Toon Heads' "The Twelve Missing Hares" got pulled from syndication). But if they don't tackle or reference it, that goes against Warner's own reminder that not addressing the cartoons in their original state is like pretending the cartoons don't exist. Of course, Warner is also no stranger to backstabbing themselves, but that's a ballsy thing to ignore. My best guess is that they could reference the cartoons being shown in theaters without actually showing it, and have somebody be interviewed over what they thought of it (mockumentary and all).
It shouldn't be impossible to figure out how to tackle those topics with maturity, but it's something to think about. Plus, what else can Warner do with their Looney Tunes IP aside from the stereotypical "sit and do nothing" approach? They have all the history they need from stuff like documentaries and such.
And yes I am aware of Joe Dante's planned movie adaptation of the Termite Terrace experience from Chuck Jones' perspective, but what I was thinking was different.
Either way, what bliss.

McDonald's glass promoting The Flintstones movie (1994), which people claim are hazardous to your health but there's no lead paint or cadmium in the glass so go ahead, have your yabba-dabba-doo!
