i feel like breezie's one of those people that shows up as a cameo in all film/tv works supported by her corporation, just. as herself. for half a minute Maybe but she's sure there.

rereading the whole metal virus arc from start,, n thinkin,,,,, bree's definitely the type of person to resonate with rogue's line of "i can't live comfortably in high society if there's no civilization, now can i??", but ... as dependent as her business is on there being people to Be Consumers, it ... never really affects her. in her mind, here's how it goes : the zombot virus spreads through organics & non-processed materials, she's surrounded herself with robots, her entire staff is at least mostly mechanic, & she herself has cybernetic prosthetics. her employ has a safety net from infection, thus she has a net from infection. she has the resources to live comfortably in complete quarantine from the world for months at a time.

& so ... she would just spend that time holed up for her protection, all while sending out capable bots of her own to assist here & there to keep up her public image as someone not indifferent to the current plight. after all, robots can't get infected, breezie has hundreds of robots in her employ, she is unaffiliated with eggman, she has a history of shining a massive spotlight on things that distract from just how horrible things are in the world ... that's a recipe for someone the world would be ecstatic to see grant help. someone the grateful parties would love to show their support to after the heroes inevitably save the world yet again. support which would be publicity, which would lead to money, which would lead to a return to normalcy.

the back circuitry extends into tech connected to her spinal cord & up to her brain, the implementation of which is much better hidden beneath mostly-healed skin; the panel in her back serves as an access point for all bug-repairs. due to ivo's at-the-time level of cybernetic enhancements, the tech initially took up more space of her torso, resulting in needing to make space there. in the end, she gave up a kidney whose lack could be compensated for, & her uterus, as she'd determined by that time that bearing children was just never going to be her thing. there's no longer a need for the space, with technological advancements moving ever-forward, thus she's had her long-ejected kidney since replaced. she doesn't particularly mourn her infertility, especially as there's plenty of robots under her care that she's come to view as her children.

while breeze media is primarily an entertainment corporation, with focus on things like parks & casinos & producing visual media, like talk shows, game shows, television series, films, etcetera, so on ... a core principle of breezie's business from a personal standpoint is supporting robots & organics with cybernetic parts. the world has been made aware since day one that she has a love for bots & androids, so expanding her interest to cyborgs doesn't necessarily signify a personal connection. so, while she builds her business atop entertainment & sells entertainment, what she invests in is primarily robotic & cybernetic research & rehabilitation. it builds a support net for her employees & others under her umbrella of care, & as a bonus improves her public image as a charitable figure that encourages technological progress for all.

i see a post about "eroticism of the machine" & im legally obligated to think about breezie

actually no i need to yell about forces!war things or i'll explode Right, So, breezie was one of the only people almost entirely unaffected by the events of sforces because of her connection to robotnik. she never chose a side, she's always been explicit about not being on any side but her own, doing whatever will benefit her in the end, so she had little issue going along with whatever ivo had in mind so long as neither she nor her robots were in any way negatively affected. she felt a little guilty about not being able to help the children that ended up losing their family to the fight against the resistance, but there was nothing she could do without endangering herself or her robots, so she swallowed every ounce of it & waited the war out. the guilt resurfaces every now & then &, when it’s particularly bad, she donates a plentiful sum & resources ( mainly repair robots ) to the neediest village at the moment ; it’s not as though she has anywhere particular to put all the money she has, so she might as well give to those she feels need it more than herself. she’s selfish, not heartless. breezie is in no way a stranger to having to live on scraps & having nowhere to go with guaranteed safety, & the only reason she couldn’t grant help during the war was because that would mean she & her robots would be in danger, & she could never risk that.

i'll eventually write up a public/semi-public/private info thing for bree like i have done over on satoshi's blog, but a fairly important To Me private thing is that a lot of breezie’s body is cybernetic. it's a result of her initial partnership with ivo — improvements upon weak functions, enhancements to both make her more useful to robotnik & relieve her of pains too long neglected to be healed by a doctor of the medical sort ( not that she could've afforded the care back then ) . the whole of her left arm beginning from just below her shoulder, the majority of her back, along with her right leg from the knee down — all are cybernetically modified or prosthetic. thus she tends to prefer suits over anything else ; the prosthetic limbs don’t match with the rest of her body &, though she cannot say she hides them out of any shame, it is a sign that she isn’t perfect & she simply cannot have that for the sake of her public appearance. plus it’s a remnant connection to ivo & she’d rather publicly distance herself from that man’s name ( even if he did help her get her start & she still maintains her connection to him in so far as rescuing the bots robotnik would otherwise scrap for parts ) , & while she hasn’t fully made her augmentations her own, that’ll continue to be the case. she's not ashamed that she has those modifications, & she's very much comfortable with them, even thinking of them as bringing her closer to all the robots that work for her & that she cares for, but she's not revealing them to anyone but her robots any time soon.
