Started it in March during one of my thermo lecs, then finished it during my burst of drawing energy on apr 24. Also redid the lineart because I made her egregiously thick in the first pass 😭

Quick little drawing. I gotta use this lining style more cos it's so fast,, so nice to not worry abt line weight.

This is an artstyle I bust out every so often, and I'm always unhappy with the finished product, despite having had a lot of fun drawing it. Learning to cope-- at least I enjoyed the process. It's weird because I can't exactly tell what's bothering me. Oh well.

Did all of the lineart and some of the sketching in Nov 2024, then got a burst of motivation to finish it this Apr.

Really fun to draw, really like this angel redesign of Alastor (and am just obsessed with all of bros hazbin fics/fancomics). Also the fact that half of it is full coloured is crazy,, it would take me a million years to do smth like that.

Didn't expect to render it this much but here we are. Happy w how it turned out tho

Also the digital drawing was a panel from a comic that I had laid out. Didn't feel like finishing it, but I refined this panel because I liked it.

Trying to stray from doing art fast. I just need to accept that I'm slow because even if it takes me a long time it's better than brainrotting so it's better to just not worry about it. (Even though this is kind of sketchy it still took me a while, so I felt bad about my slowness for a hot minute)

Macflyer Kit Card

Stupid little plane I made during a kit card workshop at my uni's makerspace. The plane's red because that's the fav colour of the guy running the workshop ❤️

Put the plane in the country road lighting/background because the bgs are just so funny and stupid, but then the plane's dimensions are so small it looks like bro's in minecraft 😭

PCC Collage

March 24-25, 2025 Newspaper/Magazine Clippings + Stickers on Construction Paper

A queer club at my uni ran a collage making event. It was rlly cute, and I really liked how all of the newspapers/magazines were queer-themed. To keep it in that theme, I made a really symbolic piece representing Queer Botherings that have been happening in my head for the past while. Maybe I'll make an update collage once I see how it all actually plays out.

Not a lot of progress pics because I was locked in when working on it at school. I made the white/black lettering at home the day after, but otherwise everything was done in one shot. I also coloured the "everything" with a silver pen sometime past the 25th, but it's so small I didn't care to change the finish date.

Used a red/black colour scheme because that's my fav ❤️

I should figure out a name for this.

Going to this event was funny because I took my friend there (whose gender/sexuality I don't know, but I'm pretty sure they're straight), and it was funny because I didn't mention at all that it was going to be a queer thing. They made a sick collage anyways, but they were kinda jumpscared by some of the magazines lmfao.

Once again I add more guys to the "the babs" universe of sona/oc things. Idrky I started referring to this batch of ocs like that. It's a derivation of babes/babies -> babs, since they're my ocs/children, ig? I don't think of them that way but that's how it came to be

PBK Sumobot

January 2-18, 2025 Jumper Wires + Ultrasonic Sensors + IR Sensor + DC Motors + RGB LED on Breadboards, Arduino/C++ on Arduino Nano, Acrylic Paint on PLA Filament

This was made in a hella time crunch. Me and my friend (who isn't even from my uni/on our sumobots team) made this in practically one night. The original plan was to get it done during the winter break so we didn't have to worry about it during second sem's classes but we trolled fr.

My friend absolutely clutched up for programming on the 17th. Me and the other people on the team can shittily do python, but he was the only one who knew C++. I mean, the rest of us could have coded it, but not anything well in the one night we gave ourselves to do that 😭

The CADing, 3D printing, most of the wiring and general assembly had been finished by that time, but still. Oof was that a terrible time.

I printed out the mascot I previously made and put him on the bot, and also painted the bot pink and gold to match ❤️

Me and my friend went to bed at 4am and had to get up at 6am to get to my uni in time for the comp. That followed by another practically sleepless night (there was ANOTHER competition the same day - a 24hour one too) -- actually horrendous...

Anyways, we did a lot better than any of us thought we would! A lot of our matchups were evenly matched, so they were really fun to watch (and rewarding to win 😉). We got through the first batch, and then lost in the losers bracket of the final double-elimination tournament.

A lot of people loved how our bot looked, it was really cute. The sumobots media team took a pic and put it on their story for women in engineering-- it was so stupid, but cute anyhow

All in all it was really fun, and the goal for next year is to not make the bot in one day!! >:)

New Beginnings

I wanted it to have themes of change for... reasons...

I didn't go heavily on symbolism regarding that theme, but what I made hits the mark for what I want it to mean to me.

MacCrafter Mug

Painted the mug I won for participating in a sticker contest with this design. Did two of my new ocs who have yet to be posted because the only drawing I've done of them was formally finished way after I painted this

Still haven't done the thing where I take it to Crock a Doodle to fire it (this will happen in 5 months the earliest)

Def curious to see how the glaze will turn out. I might add more layers later because I don't think I did 3.

Also the pictures are terrible,, hopefully the contrast between the colours is more prominent after firing but it's especially indistinct in these pictures

We needed a team name, and after careful deliberation of several terrible name generator websites, we decided to go forward with Pink Badger Kings 🦡

Did it during one of our group meetings at the library where we were all very productive and definitely not working on resumes/anything else instead of wiring/CADing our bot🔥

Palm Bag

My mom got this bag when on vacation and asked me if I could paint some palm leaves on it.

I definitely could've done a better job, but I was determined to get it done in one session. The texture of the bag was pretty annoying to paint - had to go from both directions to get the paint in the crevices.

Also had some difficulties due to the fact that I didn't sketch anything - I just went for it. And painting things this thin overlapping is pretty tedious

Seven

Finally finished this painting!! Hey, got it done before 2025 at the very least 😉

Only took about 30 minutes to finish it up because it was just cleanup and painting the edges.

Moniker for this painting went from "coloured puke" to "seven" because when asking my family what the meaning behind this painting was we realized that there are seven characters here, which could be indicative of the seven deadly sins. Ofc that was unintentional, but was a cool coincidence.

Non-unanimously, the sins were identified as:

Pride - Green / ???

Wrath - Orange

Lust - Red

Gluttony - Yellow

Envy - Green / Pink

Greed - ???

Sloth - Purple

The blue guy didn't really fit any of them 😭

I asked my family what they thought the meaning of this one because they'd incessantly bugged me about what the meaning behind another painting I was working on was.

Still need to varnish it, but I'll get to that later

Finished animation meme based on these thumbnail sketches.

Decided to do it in ibispaint to test out their animation thing (I usually use krita to do everything related to animation). it's good until timing comes into play. Def gonna use it if I ever make random gifs

This still took a long time to make (I'm slow, okay), but the repetitiveness helped a lot in cutting down the work.

Tried to export using krita but the sequence after all the glitch effects would export improperly, so I had to insert it all into openshot video editor and then the exporting worked better (it was a struggle). There's some timing issues I feel but not so bad that I can't live with it.

**I'm in the process of redoing it so that it's a perfect loop and the timing's a bit better, just posting it now because it's holding up the rest of the line

"W" Painting

December 25 - 26, 2024 Acrylic on Canvas

This painting has an actual name, but I'm sticking with the moniker " 'W' Painting" (as dubbed by my family/friends because there's a W sticker on the top left corner) until I actually finish it.

Painting I frantically did because I was having a Terrible Time and when that happens you paint little guys having a Terrible Time.

Wanted to finish this before I moved over the spring/summer for coop but just didn't have the time for it, so it won't get done until 2025 fall the earliest.

I look at this and realise there's Anatomy Problems / a fundamental difference in the flow/positioning of the characters between the initial sketch and where I'm at now. There's no turning back now, and I'm still happy with what I have, still. Just have to figure out that damned arm when I go to finish this. But it's also a fun loose painting, anatomy doesn't have to be flawless (call me a part of the 'it's my style' club 😛). Pro tip when drawing characters interacting --uhh refine the sketch before rendering 🤠👍👍👍👍👍👍
