😭 honestly we all do. I still have the tinniest bit of hope they’ll do season 5 at some point and say season 4 was all a drug induced hallucination of Sherlock’s. Ugh

I feel like I’m one of the few who trust Viv and Brandon to do Helluva justice in the end. I think people take this show too seriously and don’t just enjoy it for what it is. I for one, am glad that they have had it all planned out from the beginning because too many shows have been ruined by writers who don’t know their end goal. Just trust the process guys and enjoy the journey ❤️

You can definitely be skeptical! I totally understand coming straight from the Sherlock fandom (don’t talk to me I’m still upset 15 years later). BUT the fact that Viv and Brandon have had every episode planned out for the entire show for a few years now is a stellar sign! They knew exactly where the story was going the entire time even when it was just beginning! That NEVER happens with tv and the fact that Spindlehorse is still in control of everything is even better for the outcome. Amazon has zero creative control over this show so we don’t have to worry about that.

Viv and Brandon have poured so much heart and soul into Helluva I highly doubt they will drop the ball at the end. I think it’s important to remember what a passion project this is for them (especially Viv since it’s literally her OC’s) and how much the fans mean to them. Without us, they literally wouldn’t have been able to make the show.

Also having met Brandon, he is one of the most genuine people, I don’t think he would give anything less than 100% all the way though and same goes for Viv.

I totally understand being worried about what happens at the end but as I said before, keep in mind Viv prefers happy endings and they also wouldn’t be putting so much work into Stolitz figuring out their relationship if it wasn’t end goals in some form. That doesn’t mean we won’t have possibly some tragic deaths but Viv did say we would eventually find out what happens when hellborn die (if that’ll be in Helluva or Hazbin who knows) so it could very well be dark like Brandon said but have a good outcome.

Also on that note, they’re very good at being realistic about life struggles and having the characters go through things that are relatable in real life, and sadly death does come along with that journey (if that’s what Brandon is referring to).

I truly believe that because they planned it out from the beginning, whatever the outcome, they’ll do Helluva justice and it won’t all be for nothing. They love this show too, it’s so obvious, and they love the fans and I truly don’t believe they’ll let us down.

But it's sweet that and lovely that he's called it perfect. It makes me feel comfortable and confident that we're not going to get any bury your gays shit from him and Vivian lol.

tfw the guy you used to deify to the point of delirium is now crashing on your couch and eating all your cereal. This is kinda meant as a 'then vs now', 'what I believed vs reality' kind of piece but honestly I made it because as much as the stolitz journey is emotional and heart-rending and hopeful............... it's also incredibly fucking funny to me. Like, you basically subconsciously worshiped this dude and now he's your bum ex-situationship who's off his meds 😭😂 Absolutely wild, I love it. Little tangent about something I noticed in Stolas' design under the cut!

It's been pointed out that Stolas' lack of pupils may have been an intentional design choice to enhance Stolas' eeriness and aloofness since he was conceptualized as a villain, automatically reducing how expressive he is. I've noticed they seem to do something similar with his eyebrows.

Removing eyebrows for exaggerated comedic expressions or intense surprise is normal, but I've noticed that throughout season 1, outside of episodes that specifically focus on Stolas relationships or emotions (loo loo land, ozzies) they'll more frequently remove Stolas' eyebrows at normal speaking moments. It has the effect of enhancing that otherworldly, indifferent attitude in Stolas' interactions and making it more difficult to see what's going on in his mind. In fact, it kinda has the effect of making his faceplate look more like a mask (something I tried to emphasize in my art too). It's not the most consistent thing, the eyebrows can come and go in any episode. I just noticed they seem to 'go' more frequently early on in the series and I like the subtle impact of it. Favorite examples below:
