Ok this made me think, because yes Blitz has seen Stolas drinking heavily at a party before.

(He definitely had less when they first met but still absinthe aren't no joke. Can be as high as 74% by volume).

By the Not a divorce party is fancy, and the booze Stolas is drinking is expensive.

And Blitz feels intimated and out of place.

Compared to the Fuck Blitzo party when he's feeling comfortable walking through a crowd of people that hate him, with the barest effort of disguises.

I think the more familiar atmosphere is what makes Stolas unhealthy coping strategy click with Blitz.

They are very alike after all.🙁

Sociality in general tend to be less harsh on the rich for drinking excessively, or even normal people at parties throw by the rich.

Even when Wine Mums are downing bottles a night, because it's seen as if they're earned it.

(Certainly it's alot more acceptable than it would be for the same units of alcohol of beer or cider drink by some like Blitz).

But the whole thing being familiar make it easier for him to see Stolas is not in a good place.

That he should be worried for him. He's not quite at the point of seeing Stolas as a real person, and someone that could use his help.

The thing that lots of people somehow seem to miss about the whole "you knew someone was trying to assassinate me?" thing is that - whether you think that back in THMF Stolas noticed Stella or not - he still wouldn't have known about Striker's first attempt on his life due to. y'know. the nature of phone calls. Because the only thing that he could have heard is that Stella wants him dead*, not that Striker already tried to kill him once, and failed. Very obviously hence

*And like. Maybe he didn't take it seriously at the time, but I feel that the way he instantly looked at her in WE (with her looking back at him) after Striker directly attacked him was an indicator of him going "oh, you were serious". But whateverrr (that was the first attempt to him!!!!)

("I don't think you meant to hurt me, 'cause I don't think it meant I thing at all to you" was prompted by this. By Blitz's reticent ass. in denial ass. "I'm scared of Stolas being hurt, by others and by me. but that can't happen. surely it couldn't. look at him and at what he is. it's not a possibility if I don't consider it or mention it or think about it" ass. But Stolas doesn't know that, so what he inevitably gets out of this exchange is "oh, so Blitz thinks low of me and my wellbeing is inconsequential to him". And they make it a point to make it pretty noticeable that this is the point where Stolas starts pulling back, because it's here that he stops hearing Blitz and his fumbled attempts at explaining himself and his actions. His reaction would have been the same even if he had learnt about the first attempt on his life through other means, because the point would have still been the same: Blitz did not tell him anything)

I imagine if emberlynn ever met stolas, instead of a rivalry forming between them, her shipper goggles would immediately hone in on the chemistry between him and blitzø. she'd become an avid writer/artist of stolitz smut with stolas her biggest fan.

I'm convinced that at least 99% of Blitzø's antis REAL reason for hating him is because they don't find him attractive.

But they can't admit that and be done with it, oh no. They have to make up scenarios in their head (and don't exist outside of their imagination) that Blitzø is abusing, raping and manipulating innocent uwu baby Stolas (who can do no wrong in their minds) for shits and giggles and then cackling manaically about it.

Meanwhile they're suspiciously silent about Stella, who has ACTUALLY done all of the above and more.
