I’m actually a midi sort of girl (not too long or short), but if I had to pick between mini or maxi, I think I’d go with mini (hopefully it wouldn’t be too short!)

I wish more people would pay attention to the fact that Edmund went back to grab the portrait of his father. Edmund isn’t dumb, he knows he could possibly be killed traveling back into the open of his house to get it. I imagine Edmund was very close to his father; closer than he was with his mother. And when his father left for the war he was devastated. The person who would laugh with him, play with him, and actually listen to him was gone. Gone maybe forever. And the thought of not having a single piece of evidence that his father existed would kill Edmund. This changed Edmund’s mood significantly. He felt irritable and jumpy. Like there could be news of his fathers death anytime. He hid this fear behind a stubborn, feeling-less facade. But deep down Edmund was feeling more emotions than a young boy should ever feel. So no, Edmund was not being selfish. He just needed his father there with him in any shape or form, because Edmund didn’t know if he’d ever have that again.
