Yes I am and I am actually okay with it. All three kids have really good heads on their shoulders, so I feel quite lucky to be their father. I am in between projects right now, I am in Australia for the time being before heading back stateside before the cruise coming up soon. Are you excited about touring starting up again?

it's taking a lot of self-control not to go and joke about it on twitter. the clown inside me lives on. you have my word, i promise. i'll be blowing up your phone as soon as our return announcement is queued. though i'll be expecting you to do the same. once you're making your grand return to the stage, i want a call so i can go to battle on ticketmaster. it's beyond weird. having every move analyzed, every person we interact with investigated by internet weirdos, every absence spurred on by rumors -- it's fucking annoying. i can't even begin to tell you how many times i've gotten into it with people over it. not sure i can make that promise to you, liv. you know me. i'm 100% going to laugh.

can you blame them? they've been waiting for this for so long. to joke about it would be cruel. once you have everything ironed out, do you promise to keep me updated? if you're touring, i'd love to be there and the only way i can do that is if i know it's happening. isn't it weird that being in a band makes everyone question every intention you have? you're allowed to have separate projects. i've never really understood the concern, but it's nice knowing you're excited about getting the band back together. look, i'm down for whatever, but only so long as you swear you won't laugh when i no doubt end up injuring myself. i don't think i could ever live with the embarrassment.

It definitely is a wonderful thing to have supportive family and friends who always have your back. I agree with that fully. My daughter Indie is thirteen and my sons Tristan and Sasha are both eleven. What has you busy these days?

i'd say so. oh, i wouldn't joke about something like this. if only because the fans would kick my ass. we've got some new music planned for next year and maybe a tour too. still working out the finer details on it all but i promise we'll be back in 2026 to deliver. yeah, i'm pretty excited. getting a little tired of being asked if we broke up and being accused of being the cause of it so it'll be nice to return and make everyone eat their words. this is your first time? nice. my plan is to sleep the first day away and then hit up the surf simulator. what about you? wanna join me on the simulator?

I agree. guess that's why we're always two steps ahead of everyone else. things are good. just received five new ARIA plaques. one gold, three platinum, one 2x platinum. so, I'm flying high. professionally and personally.

you did see that. my arms, chest, and back are about 90% covered so had to start working on my legs. there's still a couple free spaces but i've also just covered a bunch of tattoos in the past year so even if i do run out of space, that's always an option. do you think you'll ever get one in the future or is that a huge no for you?

did i see that you were getting another tattoo? as someone who doesn't have any tattoos and is kind of a wimp when it comes to pain, i have to give you all the props for how much ink you've got. not to mention, it looks incredible. with so much of your skin inked, do you even have lots of free space for future designs? / @damidavid

a majority of them were done on a whim. for some reason, a lot of my friends have tattoo guns at home and i'm dumb easy to talk into letting them tat something stupid on me so that's how it happens. i think my favorite would be the dragon along my ribs, hips, and armpit. hurt like hell but very worth it. what's your favorite tattoo that you have? actually never knew you had any so clearly i need to pay better attention.

As someone that only has a few tattoos at the moment, though I'll admit that I want more. Since you have so many, I'm just curious were a lot of them planned, or were a lot of them just done on a whim? Because you have so many cool tattoos, and I love the idea of them being done just on a whim. Though I know some people like to plan each tattoo out, I'll be honest and say that I'm one of those people that just get tattoos on a whim. Which is why I'm a little surprised I don't have more. always nice to have supportive parents so i'm sure your kids will come to appreciate that when they get older and start their own careers in whatever field. how old are they now? i think you're right, man.

I have to say they always were and that has encouraged me to be the same way with my kids and along with their cousins. Gotcha and I have to say I think all siblings are that way, mate, I think it makes the relationship stable cause we do not always see eye to eye on things.

i think you're right. like we said, it's nice to have songs out there that you can both personally relate to and have other people relate to. nah, we're actually coming back next year. the little teases about it have already started so new music should eventually be coming. probably sometime after december so that we can start 2026 out on the right foot. fuck, i forgot about the cruise coming up. looks like my vacation is about to get extra long. are you excited for the cruise? i was looking at the site a couple weeks ago and i'm kind of surprised they can fit all of that onto a boat. blows my mind. ha, i'm sure they're loving that. no pressure at all.

most musicians would agree with us, don't you think? i think the key is to try and make music that hits deep. that way, no matter how much time passes, it's still going to mean something to someone and even if you can relate to it anymore, you'll remember the time you did. so long as you're creating something that you enjoy, that's what manners. it's nice to hear you're enjoying your solo endeavours. you seem to be thriving with the new sound and your voice suits it so much. does this mean maneskin is on an indefinite hiatus? you have to do what's best for you and you know you have my support either way. vacationing with the cruise coming up? you really know how to live your best life and i love that for you. not yet, but i've been asking plans. aka, i've been harassing all the musicians i know and threatening them with my looming presence in the crowd for their next shows. i have big plans.

DAMIANO: good news: i've been taking full advantage of this break. haven't thought about work once, which has been nice. though i do miss the stage a little bit ngl. DAMIANO: ha, of course he did. think you gotta give it a few years before his interest switches to the actual toys. yeah, i saw some family members so it was nice. i'm such a mama's boy that it fucking sucks being away from her so had to make sure i got my time in with her. i'm down for it. how does the wednesday sound?

HAILS: it's pretty jam-packed, can't lie. there's so much work that goes into preparing a product launch, especially since they're rolling it out on all the stores across North America. hopefully once we've launched, everything will be so much easier. thank you for not taking it personally, promise it's most definitely not you. exactly. i knew you would understand better than anyone. of course. it's always a good feeling when your early music still remains relevant, both personally and with the fans. though it's also nice to release new stuff that everyone can connect with too. i've always thought that was the most important thing: making music that you like too. as much as i loved rock music and love doing it with the band, i love doing my solo shit even more and being able to put out a sound that i liked. so far the weeks of freedom have been spent on vacation and i couldn't ask for anything more. makes two of us that are excited, really. have you been to any other fun concerts in the meantime?

when you've been so busy, that kind of mentality is completely valid. yeah, two years. that's so nice to hear. it's always a good sign when your music still feels just as relevant as the day you dropped it, don't you think? thank you. the last thing i want to do is let anyone down, but i also have to realise that the music i make is for me too and so long as i enjoy it then that's really the biggest accolade i could ask for. you can pack a lot into three weeks of freedom and i'm sure you will enjoy every moment. so long as nothing to do with work comes up, i'll be there. i'd move heaven and earth to attend your show. i never got to see you live and this is my chance. there's no way i can miss it. thanks for the invite. you have no idea how excited i am.
