I think taika read some thorquill fanfics since we got a scene where quill and thor were drinking together alone and we know what happened after that in some fanfics.

Of course it's marvel and disney so I wasn't expecting much of becoming something canon but it feels like quill and thor's dynamic got better since endgame- maybe there is still some rivalry but not as much.

But I imagine how funny it would be if Thor brought the child onto the guardian's ship and be like "we have a daughter now, deal with it"
