anyway i made a new d&d character named Andrea Dyrr. she uses she/they pronouns and they're a drow sorcerer with the shadow magic origin and the faceless background. she has a devil relative which explains their horns. her backstory is basically she made a deal with a powerful wizard a la little mermaid where they lost their face as a result of wanting to escape her current identity/life 👍

also due to the lack of a face they're mute. she communicates with writing, common sign language, or the message cantrip.

I was working on some backgrounds for slideshow intros and here are some scrapped ones i thought you guys might like + the white square (so you can change colors if you want). all made with ibis paint on a 1000x1000 canvas.

praying the last image saves as transparent... if not, i just clipped a square image (can even be a screenshot or something), colored over it with a solid color, and then selected the colored bit and saved that as a transparent image at the size i wanted.

mmm..... i'm assuming that high level incarcerated prisoners would have their wings clipped so they cant fly away (not permanently damaged so they never grow again) but what about clipping leathery wings. doyou think in impel down they sliced the membrane between each boney limb. would it grow back. did they disable ace and think it was okay because he's gol d roger's kid. soul.

for bat wings, they’re usually able to heal by themselves in about a month if the is something like a contained tear, though time varies and it may take longer if the tear is bigger. the membrane of a bat’s wing heals fast, and they’ve been seen flying with holes in their wing.

HOWEVER, they are not entirely bats here, so i’d imagine it’d be a little different, right ?

i could see them making a tear in between the limbs…. they dont rip it open, but they stretch up to about the middle of the wing, just a slice. they dont really know how those types of wings work, so they just slice them and leave ace to it, assuming it’s similar to normal wings and he’d be left flightless for months or maybe even need medical assistance to repair it (which he won’t ever get down here). it hurts, of course, but there’s no way they didnt avoid small holes in their wings as kids, so he knows it’ll heal. instead of closing up by a month or so like bats, however, it would take longer—i imagine the membrane is just a bit thicker, to fit more with the “dragon” thing. the tears would only just be stitching themselves together by that time. ace has to keep them hidden against his back because he knows if they see he’s healing, they’ll start it all over again.

even if they did disable him, it’d be justified in most of their eyes. this is the pirate king’s son; if the pirate king was a monster, then his son must be as well. they’re just getting rid of a threat before it can grow into the blood-stained mold the pirate king left behind.

i love making ocs with friends. especially if we Angst them.

The woman with glasses is Amynta Price, who my friend Jace (@jinnynotjenny) created. The little boy in her arms is Hayden Price who is mainly Jace's oc, but we both worked on him. The man in the ushanka is Dominic Fernsby, who I created.

All you really need to know for this doodle is that Amynta and Dominic were high school sweethearts who had a messy breakup after Amynta was being toxic and pushed him away. They did both love each other.

Hayden is Amynta's adopted son. By pure chance, it turns out that he's secretly Dominic's biological son from a drunken one-night stand that he doesn't know exists.

Commission Information

Some people have asked me in the past if I have open commissions. The answer is yes, but I only take on one or two at a time, and I do charge around $10 an hour for my work, with some add-ons depending on the piece. This can cause my prices to end up fairly high, and I will not be lowering this. I'm thankful that I don't rely on commissions to get by, so I have no need to take on as many as possible. I hope you understand!
