i miss libraries. i miss getting lost in aisles and aisles of books. i miss getting my book stamped by a lovely little librarian who calls me dear and grants me a smile. i miss the timelessness of libraries. going there and staying there for hours because i like the silence. please let the libraries open up again soon.

there is nothing i want more in this world than your head in my lap as i read. i rest my free hand in your hair and let my fingers play with it gently. then, when i take it away to turn the page, you shoot me a quick glare until i return it to its place. there is Literally nothing i want more than that.

learn because you can.

learn because it’s the one thing that can never be taken away from you.

learn because knowledge is power. power for yourself. power in others. the power to teach.

learn because knowledge is a renewable resource. there is always more to learn. there is always more content to consume.

learn because you are fully capable of it. no matter what anyone says. i believe in you.

I’ve said this before but: I love this kind of summer-autumn morning light. It is especially good on a Sunday morning when there’s nothing to do but drink coffee, read a good book, make plans or cancel them all to lie on the rug and listen to music and watch the dust in it.
