Darn. It was supposed to be a planning sheet with bulleted points on an Ideas Generation technique called S.C.A.M.P.E.R. You have heard of prototyping products. But have you heard of prototyping worksheets? Working on worksheets for refining copied shapes using fixed interval grids. I do-We do-You do. Teaching 14 year olds how to break down complex organic references using standard geometrical shapes in 4 simple steps. After every step they put a tick. I must say they did well. One of the successful marker is when I hear students say to themselves ‘a triangle here, a rectangle here’ rather than ‘draw the head and ear’. Even better when I hear a student say ‘This part looks like a gummy box’. That means it looks like a rectangle with round corners I think.
