"Hello," she gave the other girl a soft smile. "So are you part of the pack then?"

"No... no, I think it's actually my will to live. Look at it floating away the longer this conversation lasts."

"That...was your heart fluttering and threatening to explode at the sight of my hotness."

"You could only dream of getting that drunk, squirt. And I only don't like pants when they happen to be a guy's."

"That was you getting trashy drunk. Not tipsy drunk. I mean trashy. Trashy like you'll jump into anyone's pants. And you don't even like pants...do you?"

"As I do oh so frequently," Darcy muttered, though she knew he'd be able to hear her. She caught Tristan as he slumped against her, scrunching up her nose in distaste. "You're smushing me against the wall, you know that right?"

"You said the F word!!!" Tristan screeched. "Oh no!" He started running circles around her making sure Adam wasn't around to hear her. When he stopped he was wobbly and fell against her. "Whew.....safe."

Darcy gestured over to the curtain nearby. "It moved... and as much as I may realize the irony of being afraid of the possibility of ghosts when in a room full of literal monsters by most people's definitions, I still don't want to deal with a ghost."

"What was what?" she asked looking around

"They're so loud at the house, so I wouldn't put it past them," Darcy agreed before turning to her new companion with a visible surprise. "Oh... um, hi again."

"Just one of the shifters I think," she commented as she came to stand next to the other woman.

Darcy wordlessly took her offered seat, half-dancing to the music in a mocking fashion before she took another sip of her drink. "This might just be my personal hell... a public outing with an excess of shitty music. Feel like I'm back at a frat party."

"Care to join me?"

"Me? Oh no no, I'm like beyond left-footed and I only got dragged out to a club for company, not my killer dancing skills."

Darcy was quiet while he talked, just taking him in. Livvy had finally let slipped the whole animal hospital tidbit, and that meant that Darcy had to engage in the mandatory boyfriend evaluation. It was only after a few seconds that she realized he'd stopped talking. "Right... well, I don't expect that said pet resort would accomodate to bearded dragons, so I think I'm okay on that score. I'm more so here to hear about you. You know, make sure my best friend isn't getting into a relationship with a serial killer."

At the Animal Hospital

"Its been pretty busy here lately with it getting colder. I have been working with Hiro to expand and make a pet resort so people can board their pets when they go out of town."

"Riiight..." Darcy replied, doing a slow sort of spin as she took in the entryway a bit more. "And I just have to take the word of the mystical inn's mystical hostess. Definitely feels like I'm dreaming at the very least." Not the least bit because said mystical hostess was also mystically hot... but that wasn't the sort of thing to speak on now. "Definitely stumbled. Still stumbling, I think. You might have to pinch me."

Twylla chuckled a little. "I can assure you that you're still in your realm. I can also promise that nothing you consume here is going to make you grow to the size of the Inn nor shrink to the size of a mouse," she switched the basket to her other hip. "I take it you stumbled upon us rather than intending to visit?"

"Yeah, I think that's pretty much the first time in my life that I haven't made a clumsy asshat of myself."

@ the Botanical Gardens

"Goodness, if we'd both been walking any faster that could have been quite the crash," she said, having narrowly avoided the collision between them and her wheelbarrow as they'd rounded the corner from opposite directions.

"Because Livvy is good company and I happen to enjoy crashing with her from time to time," Darcy explained rather matter-of-factly. "Don't live here though, no. Have a monumentally shitty appartment with monumentally shitty roommates." She paused. "Crappy," she corrected, having to suppress an eye roll. He definitely wasn't young enough or old enough to be the politeness police. "I think I'd give Benny Boy a run for his money."

"You don't?" Tristan blinked at her innocently. "But you are here all the time." He just assumed everyone lived at the pack house. Even Stiles. Because Stiles was always around too. "But...well Ben is excluded. He curses all the time. But none of the rest of us do. So...stop."

"I like the way you think. You need to argue that point to my friends for me. Maybe they'll accept it from an outside perspective."

“True enough,” Cece nodded. “Guess it’s just a hunch,” she added with a smile. “Blunt is better than dishonest though,” she reasoned.

"Oh yeah. You've not seen you after a few too many shots. Like a teenage boy discovering Playboy. Like cartoon eyes bulging out at every guy in the bar," Darcy teased, miming around her eyes as she laughed. "But you actually manage to charm the pants off of people. Meanwhile Lucas and I are effectively two sad little virgins once more."

She perked up again at the lure of weekend plans. "Definitely. And he can try to tell us he's busy all he likes, but that dumb bitch already told me that he's off on Friday and Saturday."

"I do not have a horndog gaze, I'm not that bad," she protested. Though she couldn't exactly deny she did love to flirt with cute boys. "Am I?" she questioned after a moment's thought. "I'll accept that answer," she preened though it was mostly in jest. Livvy laughed, "He seriously does, doesn't he. So this weekend?"

Darcy unintentionally spun in circle as she stepped through the door, her gaze eventually finding the girl who'd spoken. She looked between her and the clock, a bit puzzled by the lack of numbers on it. "Um... have I fallen through the mirror or something? Like, am I going to eat this toast and grow as big as this place?"

At the Merriwick Inn

"Welcome," Twylla beamed at the person who'd just come through the front door. She was heading in the direction of the dining room, a basket of fresh washed kitchen laundry on her hip. But she paused to greet them. "Ah," she said as the clock chimed, "And you're just in time for tea and toast,"

"Maaaaybe, just maybe." Darcy considered her with a small smile. "But you should offer to pay for the medical bills after my impending heart attack," she joked.

"I can be sorry and still find it a little amusing, no?"
