They're halfway home when it hits Eddie.

He looks up sharply from where he'd been buried in his phone. "Buck," he says slowly.

"Hm?"

"Why am I in the passenger seat of my own truck?"

Buck snorts. "Becuase you don't like driving."

Eddie pouts. "No, I don't— not like driving," he argues.

The side-eye Buck sends his way is deeply unimpressed.

"Fine," Eddie huffs, "but that doesn't mean you have to drive my car."

Buck just shrugs. "I like driving you around."

Eddie can't stop the warm flush from creeping into his cheeks, so he turns towards the window to hide it.

It's only then that he's brave enough to mumble, "I like you driving me around too."
