I fear the siren's call of isolation is far too appealing. I know I will rot in silence, yet I long for it. I am afraid of what I am. I can never experience true respite, so I don't know what to do. The juice isn’t worth the squeeze.

[ Chapter 3 and 4 spoilers!!! ]
Ok just beat chapter 3 and 4. My thoughts:
Asgore, Carol, and Kris did some sort of experiment. Maybe an attempt to resurrect someone? Something with determination for sure, that's why we're here. Maybe the Knight is December and the Soul was brought forth to save her (Was she transformed into the Knight through a failed experiment?). The Soul needed a human host, and Kris was the only avaliable option. That's my guess.
Secondly, at the end of Chapter 4, Kris is forbidden from talking to Susie. This is true with other characters too. The Soul can, Kris cannot. My guess is that Carol wants the Soul to socialize and gain affinity for these characters so it can fulfill it's purpose of saving everyone. Kind of a stretch ik.
My final theory: Alphys worked with Carol and Asgore, but she disagreed with their methods and told Toriel they were experimenting on Kris. This explains why Toriel was so insistent on making Alphys Kris's teacher. Alphys could've been fired or something from her scientist position. However, this falls under the assumption that Alphys was/is still a scientist, which has not been confirmed in deltarune.
Also, ik this is some "experiment" by Gaster, but is he also the reason why determination exists? Gaster may not have the ability to SAVE or load, but he can travel dimensions. So it's not unlikely that he can connect with ours (as in, us irl), too? And we interact with these universes via computer, allowing us to reload and undo actions by simply closing a program. If this game got even more meta, id be here for it.
Waiter! Waiter! More Oneshot levels of Meta please!!

[SPOILERS FOR DELTARUNE]
Some deltarune theories before playing Ch. 3-4:
Ralsei was created by Kris in a method to cope with Asriel moving to college. Since it's clear Kris is the one creating dark fountains (end of chapter 2), Kris subconsciously created Ralsei first. Maybe using is soul as an anchor for the dark world. This explains why Ralsei doesn't know how to be himself.
The objects in these worlds have personalities attributed to their real world environments. This explains why Lancer acts like a child (child's classroom) and why Queen uses internet terms like "lmao" and "idk." This could explain why Ralsei doesnt know how to act since Kris might of just fabricated him into existence without any basis except Kris's mind.
How? Idk, magic ig. Determination grants groundhog immortality in Undertale, so maybe it has something to do with that same determination. Maybe respawning and circumventing death isn't the only thing it does.
My second theory is that the human soul that takes over Kris is kind of a contingency plan, a way to deal with Kris and prevent them from destroying the world.
Sorry for the insane ramble, but that's my thoughts.

You're telling me CHILDREN get more days off than adults?! I did not fully grow myself and maintain my body with the intention of sitting at a cubicle 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, forever. I want to grow wings. I want to fly. I want to explore and see the world.

$2.72. That's how much an existence formed from mankind's efficiency costs.
There are layers to this tortuous creation. Let us start with the outer skin: its clothing. I peeled it away with ease. Its first layer of defense shattered in an instant.
Finally reaching its pure, natural body, I didnt hesitate. I immediately took a bite, exposing its soft shell to my taste buds. It tasted sweet. However, the flavor didnt linger, for my teeth had shifted its carcass. I tasted something different this time.
I then tasted its blood. The sweet melted sugar flooded my mouth, leaving me with a smile.
Followed by its bones, sweet and salty. They're so good you can eat them by themselves.
Lastly, the muscles. A soft sweet substance with an unparalleled flavor.
Upon engulfing my senses, I decided one bite was not enough. In my greed, I consumed more and more of its body.
Eventually, nothing remained but the clothes it arrived in. I looked down at my hands... and at myself. I was disgusted. I was so hungry, It didn't occur to me what I was doing. I wasn't myself, for I was so hungry.
I want another.

Started playing Balatro a few months ago, and recently decided to improve my runs by using online guides and videos. I came across old posts from seven months ago where players celebrated achieving an e^116 run. I thought to myself, "e^116 isn't that big of a deal, Naneinf is a lot higher." But at the time, Naneinf hadn't been discovered yet. These players were gradually pushing for higher and higher scores, trying to find the maximum. Now, those same players have developed guides and methods for achieving insane runs, so I’m essentially learning at the highest level. I found this phenomenon fascinating, but then I realized: this isn’t new. This is how most knowledge in human history has developed, starting with basic understanding and evolving into something more efficient and informed. We deepen our knowledge of something to the point that even novices can learn it with a college-level grasp. A part of me feels saddened by this. I wasn’t there to partake in its nurturing and dissection. I’ve only witnessed the final culmination. There is nothing more to be understood about this game.
Cooperation is lovely. A true testament to human nature. However, if you're not a part of it, there is no greater agony.
I love being a pseudo intellectual, it makes me feel smart

Woke up to my roommate playing Battle Against a True Hero at max volume. He was "hyping himself up" for a calculus exam. I love this man in a platonic non-gay way. Im not gay btw. I like and respect LGBTQ people, but I'm not one of them. That's not the way I role. No way, no how. Happy Friday.

I had a weird dream, and I've decided to name it: "Over The Moon"
The year is 1957, The Space Race has begun. Both scientists and wizards are desperate to reach the moon. The victorious side will determine the future of humanity. Will magics and whimsy cast a bright future for humanity? Or will physics and technology instead doctor humanity to a new age? The choice is yours, for you are a hitman from a neutral religious territory. You take jobs from both sides, slowing the research of one while the other advances further. Cleanse the Earth according to your will. Both sides are abominations to the lord anyway.
There's clearly some New Vegas influence here. I guess my subconscious has good taste.
