Hey Tumblr, it's been a while. Is anyone still out there? If you are, you may be interested to know that I have a solo show opening at The Compound Gallery in Oakland, CA this Saturday (August 17th). It’s a group show exploring the juxtaposition of text and images, featuring the work of Paranoid Tiers (Griffin McPartland & Paul Urich), Clam Lynch and Yours Truly.

I just did the cover for the latest issue of Spanish culinary magazine ‘Tapas’. It’s a portrait of Daniel Humm, the chef at Eleven Madison Park in NYC, which was recently voted the World’s number one restaurant. The best part of the whole deal was that they asked me to hand letter all the type on the cover, and even re-draw the Magazine’s logo.

People of the Internets, here’s a rare chance to pick up an original piece of artwork at a sweet price. The above mixed media drawing is currently up for grabs as part of the CASA of Los Angeles art auction. You can bid on it right here. So far it has precisely zero bids and is priced at less that half its original asking price. CASA is an organization that advocates for children who have experienced abuse and neglect, so it’s a worthwhile cause - and you could get a bargain into the bargain.
