Do Toons have dreams when they go to sleep? If so, what kinds of dreams have you had before?

We do! Doris mostly dreams in black and white, but I get the full color palette! My dreams? They've mostly been weird stress stuff. Like being on a studio lot that's also a highschool and if I don't pass a final exam the studio will erase me. That's the worst one.

I heard Peter Pan didn’t like how he was portrayed in the Rescue Rangers movie because it hit too close to home to what happened to his first voice actor, Bobby Driscoll. Granted the film makers claimed they had no idea and were just using it as a reference to what usually happens to child actors instead of one specifically. There was even plans to make the villain Charlie Brown instead.

Sounds like the film makers should have tried being more knowledgeable about animation.

This may be a bit of a unique question, but how accurate are the Roger Rabbit/Roger Rabbit’s ToonTown/Ressurection of Doom comics are to the Toon experience? And on that note how accurate were the Who Framed Roger Rabbit/Chip & Dale: Rescue Rangers movie?

Roger’s stories are very accurate to what we go through! Having to adjust to styles, living under studio rule. There’s a struggle in being animated and those stories allude to it. Some differences. Judge Doom is a terrifying villain, But made only for the film. He’s a combination of committees and laws that were made to reign us in and manage creations. Toontown was “Given to Toons.” But only in name. It was eventually split apart. Sections being rebuilt next to studios to keep an eye on their property. So it’s now Drawn Districts. Dip is a simplified idea of studios starting to erase problematic characters. Something we protested against, but the leader of the protest was made into an example and completed erased with paint thinners after he went on the run.

There are a few more industry politics involved and rules they make us abide by, But Roger Rabbit is a good idea of what it’s like. Though the truth is usually darker.

No one Toon madman and weasels looking to destroy a town. It’s all studio sanctioned and manufactured erasing.

The Rescue Rangers movie is a strange one. It’s the most Hollywood fantasy idea of us. Even dubbing over Chip and Dale’s voices with celebrities and also taking out the artists who make us. Animators, character artists, voice actors, all of these people are like doctors to us. They put us together, make us who we are. Seeing that reduced to a machine on a conveyor belt was extremely cold. Also, it seemed like most Toons were involved in some kind of crime or something seedy. That made me very anxious. If we commit a crime or do something that reflects badly on the studio that owns us, it’s a quick train to the Thinner. A death sentence really.

One last thing, Peter Pan deserves to not be seen as a villain. But you can’t say no to what the studio wants you to do on film. He started an orphanage along with little Annie for Toons drawn with no parents. There are a lot designed for shorts, ads and nearly forgotten once filming is done. Now they have a home, rather than simply being erased.

I heard they cancelled Tiana’s Disney Plus series. And less than a week after Black History Month too.

Extremely shameful. Whenever I think I can't be more embarrassed for the house of mouse. They didn't know how to advertise that film and now they keep mistreating it.

I just don't know what to say. I hope the whole cast is given respect someday.

Doris Doodle book stuff

And why I ain't posting much currently

Trying to slowly get into posting more. Working on things and then there were a lot of mental ups and downs, but I already mentioned that (my upset at everything has now moved into me writing to representatives. Probably doesn't do much but it helps me feel better doing something.)

Any way. As the Doris Doodle book gets closer to completion, I'll start posting and interacting more. I plan to do more books and have a side story currently going on the patreon. But, I probably won't do the next book in the same style. I love the style, but book one is mixed media with a lot of detail, drawings, blender work and painting. So it takes a while to put together. I think the first book will set a tone for the world and then the others will be a simpler style.

When it's near completion, I plan to do a crowdfund to help promote it, sell advanced copies, and pay to print it. I plan to add more to the patreon page and start interacting more on the social pages. At this time, most of my focus is on completing the first book. Just want everyone to know, it's moving along nicely. Also, in case you missed other posts, the book will be the canon story.

Recently i've been back into Fnaf and it made me wonder something

Do the Fnaf franchise have toons, despite dont having any cartoons? Like, the movie is the only fnaf media with actual human actors, every other time (including now with into the pit) it always used stylized characters, the comics, books, promotional art, and the games with Security Breach and Into the Pit (the latter with characters being more cartoony in style than the former)

Just asking as just find a little funny and odd that such big horror franchise is mostly cartoony in art style, than again, is suprisingly gore-less and safe for kids for most of the time, excluding implied gore or things told in books

That is funny! Those things are everywhere and popular enough to be toons. But the only walk around characters are animatronic. Maybe they want to keep the real world versions as machines only.

Someday, maybe they'll give us cartoon stars. And when they do, I'm getting a photo with Chica.
