Hey, just so anyone whose mind isn't rotted by video essayists knows: The anti-LGBT film Lady Ballers produced by the Daily Wire was supposed to be a documentary. The original plan behind the film was that they were going to actually get a bunch of men to dress in drag and enter into women's sports, then record the results.

However, the barrier of entry for trans women to qualify for admission into women's sports proved to be prohibitively high, and they couldn't find any men willing to go the extra mile in undergoing hormone therapy and transitioning to the point they met the criteria for admission.

The Daily Wire accidentally disproved and discredited the entire concept of "men in women's sports", and were forced to turn the film into a shitty piece of comedy fiction instead.

But after a certain point, Stoick gave up on Hiccup. Not intentionally, he could just see that this boy was going to be a failure and slowly stopped trying to help Hiccup and threw himself into Chiefing and his grief. Hiccup is like decently young at this point and is forced to look after himself. So outside of the forge and looking after himself with what's available in the village, Hiccup has no idea how to do anything.

Swimming? Dagur accidentally tried to drown him once because he thought Hiccup would know how to swim by the age of 7. Hiccup was never touching a body of water that deep again. Fishing? His dad took him fishing once, but he was that little that he went looking for trolls instead of paying attention. Hiccup was never taught how to use weapons, and after a certain age, they all just assumed he was rubbish at using them, not that he had never been taught before.

And when the other riders befriend him, they are all like, he was never useless he's just never been taught how to do any of this stuff that's second nature to the rest of them.

i’m gonna be honest. the saja boys did not get me with soda pop, it’s catchy sure but in no way compares to huntrix. but your idol?? with the outfits? the aesthetic? the lyrics matching the demon vibe? i’m sorry i LOOOVE a gimmick. i love committing to the bit and i looooove when you mix pop with alternative subcultures it works EVERY TIME for me so yeah saja boys def got my soul with your idol, but soda pop, while fun, was not a strong start imo but i get it at the same time bc generic pop will always reach a wider audience than alt monster aesthetics (sadly)

Begging people to understand Netflix did NOT produce Kpop Demon Hunters, that was all Sony Pictures Animation. Netflix DISTRIBUTED the film. It's like how Steam didn’t make Deltarune, they just distribute it.

While Netflix does produce films and shows, in some cases “Netflix Original” just means it's Netflix exclusive, as in you can’t legally watch it anywhere else.
