I wound this video today from Youtube. It's about the town where I currently live. Been here for a little over month. Kajaani is not a bad place to live even though is a quite small town.

This is a Finnish sauna. It's dark and hot, at least 70 degree celsius (I prefer 80 to 100°C). It's made from wood. The best Finnish saunas are heated up by wood-burning stove. Electric stoves are ok but wood is what makes the atmosphere (and the heat is tiny bit moist which is better than dry heat). And if you really want to experience the old ways, you go to smoke sauna. Yep, the name says it: smoke sauna has a lot of smoke inside the sauna.

You go to sauna naked. The point is to purify yourself (both body and mind). Swimsuit or towel blocks the sweat. Just sit naked and quiet on the sauna's bench, and let the sauna purify you.

ps. I went to Nordic Spa-Nature when I was in Ottawa, Canada. There is Finlandia, a Finnish sauna. Except that it isn't Finnish sauna. It's too big, too bright and too cold. So if you go to that spa, the Maa sauna is more like true Finnish sauna. Otherwise Nordic Spa-Nature was an excellent spa, I liked it a lot.

Here is the reason why Finnish sounds gibberish to almost all other nations.

The mainroad at my birthplace, small town called as Kalajoki. I don't live in there anymore but I visit there time to time because my parents still live in Kalajoki. Btw, the town's name means fishriver. And oh yeah, it's definitely autumn...

Yep, he didn't make a goal... The game was between Kajaanin Hokki (white/red) and Kouvolan KooKoo (black). They play in Mestis, second highest league in Finland. Hokki won 3-0.
