Would I be able to reuse prompts for another day? for example i want to do both crossover friendship and differences and similarities, which are on the same day, could i just shuffle one of them to another day?

Yes, absolutely! You’re welcome to shuffle, mix, and match the prompts however you like. Feel free to move one to another day if you want to do both. The schedule is more of a guide than a strict rule! :)

is there a minimum word count for fanfics? Also any crossover is allowed? just want to make sure! Thank you for hosting this event, I'm really excited! 💛💛💛

There's no minimum word count. Drabbles, oneshots, multichapter fics, every fanwork is welcome! And as long as the crossover includes characters or elements from the DC universe combined with non-DC media, it's allowed. Above all, we want to be inclusive and encourage creativity.

Will there be any backup/alternate prompts?

Great question! We didn’t originally plan for backup or alternate prompts, but that’s definitely something we can put together if folks are interested. We’re thinking maybe a little community vote to help decide what they'd be?

Also, just a heads up, Day 7 is a free day, so you’re totally welcome to create whatever you want for that one :)

DC Crossover Week is a fandom event celebrating creative works that merge the DC universe with characters, settings, or elements from non-DC media.

What does “crossover” mean?

A crossover is a fan-created work (like a fic, art, or video) that combines two or more different fandoms. For this event, that means blending the DC universe with non-DC media.

When does the event run?

DC Crossover Week will take place from September 15th to September 21st, 2025.

Do I need to sign up?

No sign-ups are needed! Just create something that fits at least one of the prompts. Tag your posts with #dccrossoverweek and #dccrossoverweek2025 - we’ll be reblogging submissions during the event week. There will also be an AO3 collection you can post your work(s) to.

How are prompts picked?

The event prompts are selected by the mods and will be posted ahead of time on the event blog.

What kinds of content and ships are allowed?

All kinds! Fanfic, fanart, fanvids, fanmixes, and more are welcome. Works can be any rating (G to E), and all ships are allowed. Just be sure to use appropriate tags and content warnings.
