I'm having a hard time getting off my phone, really catching myself actively looking for instant gratification. It's bad when you're do far down the rabbit hole when you've run out of content to view.

Can't remember when I posted last, but it feels like a lifetime has passed. I'm definitely not the same person compared to whenever I posted/reposted the last thing.

What's happened? Where has the time gone?

I'll start with this. I've been in my relationship for close to 7 years now. I've lived through covid. I graduated college with 2 degrees and 2 certificates. I've joined and left a handful of bands. I've jazzed, I've rocked... jocked if you will.

I've lost so much. Things that I thought defined me. Friends and family. Some taken... others left of their own will. Drifted apart, falling outs.

I saw both my exs recently. One I deftly avoided. The other I got to converse with, and I'm glad she's found happiness.

I've done some self-discovery. The goods and the bads. It's easy to put our bads ahead of us, and I think it's because it's what most people talk about. Rarely do we actively find each others goods.

I realized I'd taken to quite a bit of stoicism. It took remembering the journey for me to realize that it's okay to confide in others (still haven't put that to use, but it's a process).

I have confidence that most won't read this. It isn't relevant to anyone but myself, so it doesn't matter. Who knows what character will be introduced next. See ya.

Wow, June.

It's my birthday in two weeks, and I keep forgetting about it. I spent the beginning of this year planning what to do, and then I threw it all in the trash. Oh well.

Happy to DQ reps in Smash Bros, and excited to play Banjo, too.

I Have mixed feelings about Pokemon rn. Really hoping it'll be a fun game, despite not being able to see my favorite Pokemon in it.

So, I've got a problem with JRPGs and MMOs and such. I'll get into it, go through the equipment and class changes and learn some cool stuff, right? And then there'll be a thought that creeps around in the back of my head that whispers "start over". Happened just now (again) with Monster Hunter. I've had the game for 6 months, played 80 hours, and decided... eeehhhhhh, if I restart, I COULD get better prepared and weaponized and set up for greatness.

Can someone explain my predicament to me in small, understandable words please?

Problem: I can't draw for shit, and when I get inspired to draw and I practice, 1 drawing in and I lose motivation for everything.

Background info: I've been playing guitar for 11 years, and I used to paint and draw a lot... now I can't paint or draw for shit. I can spend hours practicing scales and solos and riff on guitar, can't fathom spending a second trying to draw a circle, let alone detail in the circle.
