Did someone say ballet AU?
Welcome to my new shiny ballet AU that I may or may not do anything with, but I put way too much effort into these ballet book drawings so here! Enjoy :)

Ballet Terminology The Basics Positions refer to the way that one's feet are placed. There are 5 (actual) positions. (1) Pointe vs. (2) En Pointe vs. (3) Demi Pointe 1. The act of curving one's foot to complete the leg line. 2. Standing on toes, requires special "pointe" shoes. Advanced. 3. Standing on the balls of feet. Used by both advanced and beginner dancers. Arabesque. Foundation for many lifts and partnering activities. Benefits from flexibility. I'm better than most of the girls at th Tendu. Foot brushes the floor to extend outwards. Can be side, front, or back. Note: Foot must be pointed. Plié. Important both as a basic position but also to avoid injury. Two types, demi pictured to the left. Grand is deeper and always makes my knees crack. Note: Heels off ground.

Arm Positions First | Second | Third | Fourth | Fifth | Sixth Key term: Passé ⭐️ Spotting maintains balance while turning. Focus on a spot and quickly turn head to maintain focus for a long as possible. Turning 1. Pirouette Turn with one leg in a passé 2. Chaînés Two-step turns, heels stay together. usually chained together. 3. Fouetté Difficult to explain. Leg extended to side during 3/4 of turn. Passé to regain momentum.
