Things On My Mind

So everyone here is other post for my blog or whatever you want to call it. So for today's post I'm just going  talk about some of the things that have been on my mind lately.

Well let's see the first thing that has been on my mind is the  simple or is that when you turn on the  news you hear about people getting killed and that at times killer get way with it because of money or another thing is a our world governments.. okay let's be honest here the world is going to hell in hand-basket.  Don't get me wrong I know there are a few people out who are trying to change things and trying to make the world a better place and I can see them bringing about change like Lilly Singh aka Superwoman and Lucy Worsley, TV historian and  my mom an a few others

I'm worried about the times we are living in and the fact that so much hate, fear, can be spread threw the internet and social media at the push of a button, don't get me wrong I know at points that the world wide web can be a good thing some times but it can also be bad for you.  It's scary  how fast the world is just moving over so quickly to tech stuff and forgetting the old fashion way of going to a friends house and actually talking in person or taking a  moment to enjoy a nice moment of feeling the wind against your face  or talking on the phone so you can hear the other person voice instead of just a text message.

But these are the two things that are on my mind because I just turned twenty-nine but I feel older then that because of/from a era were a lot of change and things are happening at a lot faster rate because that's just how it is now and all the news really shows is a lot of bad stuff  and the fact the internet and social media is a new thing and it's unexplored. I wonder if there will ever be a day when things will seem less crazy.

Sorry ya'll just over thinking can't help that just what my mind does.

Girls and Dolls

So I have have something to say some may not like and some may love it . But I thinks dolls that for the most part have been always been pushed nothing as a girl' s toy is not always a bad thing.  Now I know that toys should not be gender stereo -typed but please take a moment to hear me out. Some good  that came from dolls being made for us girls was the fact that some of those dolls such as Barbie could show us that we could be anything that we wanted to be when we grow up. The fact that over the years Barbie was made to have many different form of careers  such as being a doctor, a vet, a lawyer , a race car driver and so on, is such a amazing  that show us that we can reach for big goals and also to dream big. Now please note that I'm someone who grew up in the 90's where pop music  and  the idea of  girl power  was starting to be come a thing  for my  generation thinks to the spice girls and destiny's child. So the big dolls that I played with for a good while as a child was barbie and also those Disney barbie dolls and other form princess doll( a.k. a the swan princess)  along my  with my spice girls. One of the best that I had fun doing was making up my own stories and playing with my friends it was a blast.  What I'm trying to say here is that Barbie gave the positive massage of be creative and you be anything you want to be.

Now when it came to the earl#y 2000's there was a new group of doll that came about and that was the bratz dolls.  This group was the girls with the passion for fashion and they where pretty cool dolls. I mean it was kind of cool to place many of the different things together to make a punk or a goth girl lot of fun. Now don't get me wrong it was a little weird that came with no feet and you just could take off their feet just put different shoes on them now that I'm older but as a budding pre-teen I didn't really pay no mind I just more into playing with my dolls and also I  just more foucsed on the some of outfit that I could make with these I could make to match my slight budding style of rocker to goth girl. One of the thing that I liked about these girls was there the first group of girl dolls where the message  was about girl friendship and dressing how you wanna dress.

Now when it reached the 2010 I was a young woman of twenty-one  and passed along my Bratz and barbie dolls  to my nieces when the monster high dolls came out and oh boy did I fall onto and into the band-wagon that was monster high mania.  Now before I go on any further please let me state when growing up I was tom-boy and I loved monster movies and super heroes and  sci-fyi and a lot of creepy weird things at same time of playing with barbies and bratz dolls. So like I said I fell for the monster High dolls and  I was watching the cartoons and also I was reading the monster high books to. I can honestly say I loved the message that they passed long of it was okay to be who you are and it was okay to be different that it was okay to just be you and I also like the fact that in the cartoon that had the girls daring to brave and be them selves and that it a darn good massage.  I took the positive message that these group of dolls or girls where saying to  heart  and took the challenge of being my most true self which was coming out as being different this most of people the I knew .

Now not to long after them came along the Ever After High doll. Now the message that came along with these girls/dolls was really cool.  They where all about growing and learning to be better people but while stilling being true to who you are  and that it was up to to pick your own and make your own story and that you can do it.

Now  I think all together the different message that these  different dolls had for  young girls are very lovey message for every girl or woman to have all . The messages that I'm talking about is  you can be anything you want to be, that's it's cool to be creative and and dress how you wanna dress and is okay to be who you are and that it's okay to grow as a person  and to learn  and and alright for take your own life into your hands pick your own path.

I think these are some some the things we need to remember when we talk about dolls and them being made for girls. We have to remember some of the positives and talk about them and not just about the bad stuff.
