I realized that I don’t really post my projects here, haha sorry about that everyone! But if you do want to see more of my projects or work-in-progresses you can always view more of it on my Instagram, Twitter, or ArtStation! I’ll try to get better posting here! At the moment I’m working on my character from the past and trying to recreate them into the 3D scene. So far the project has been a fun experience!

A journey ahead...
You're strolling in the forest on an early-foggy morning deciding to be a bit more adventurous than usual and you notice a small paper boat that a kid probably left behind. Thinking about how it was left behind to go on its own journey...hmm wonder if the small boat will get very far... ---

--- I've been learning Substance Designer over the summer and I'm honestly really excited about it! I hope to continue this journey for as long as I can! I've been watching tutorials from Allegrothemic and luckily someone has been helping me over the summer giving me great notes and pointers for creating materials! --- Fun fact: The origami paper is based on the paper that I actually own haha.

Just finished my first year of college and honestly I surprised on how well it went this first year for me! I met many great people and had awesome professors that really helped me grow as an artist. Even though I finished finals I’m still filled with energy and ready to tackle personal projects this summer!
This module kit is based on one of the many designs of apartments in Hong Kong.

Finished modeling a Sci-Fi motorbike. It's based on the Honda Ruckus motorbike. Instead of wheels, it hovers instead! The next thing to do is texturing and rendering.

One can have so much space in their head, but yet their brain doesn't generate any ideas. And sometimes one can have so many ideas in their head; that they don't know how to compute their ideas into a single solution. . . . I guess I could say this is sort of like a self-portrait of myself at the moment, haha. Recently I've been just practicing modeling in Maya and styles of texturing with Substance Painter, but I haven't put it out as a project because I felt like I couldn't tie everything together. At least I'm still practicing! But at the moment I felt like a computer that's sort of been on an error from an overload of thoughts or ideas, but not being able to compute or tie them into a project. But with this project, I wanted to test more of the Arnold render and discovered how to use the emission attribute for the renderer!

Finished the texturing for this one! The lighting is a bit dark so I could try and show the emissive channel the screen has. Next step is to get it officially rendered!

Working on a small new project! Still testing out the Arnold render within Maya! At the moment I'm testing out lighting and how HDRI images perform within Maya. Next thing to do is texturing!

I modeled out the Pikachu meme that’s pretty much been my favorite meme. My 3D teacher said he could 3D print them for me. It was really nice of them too! I’m super excited to pick these up and take more silly photos.

Sometimes you can have everything under control. Sometimes you can plan and draw everything to be clear as the yellow sun, but yet sometimes one can just overthink and all they do is doodle their thoughts away. . . . I wanted to try and use the Arnold Renderer within Maya. I sort of wanted a handpainted look and make it somewhat semi-realistic materials. I'll probably be practicing more Arnold renders within Maya for upcoming projects!

Sometimes in life, it can take days and many nights to finally understand and master a game. How sometimes you have seen the tricks many times, but yet your thoughts and brain are blank as a piece of paper.

I wanted to try model some glasses and give the glasses a little set for it to be a part of as well. The glasses are based on a Japanese Company called Roots Inc. Bamboo Glasses. Alongside it, I decided to model a Japanese board game called "Go". Usually, when I saw this board game I sort of thought of the white pieces as the Full Moon and then the black pieces as the New Moon which is why I designed some other ones as the phases of the moon. It's a bit of silly a thought I guess, haha. Sometimes I think about this game and just remember how I had a really tough time trying to understand how to play.

This was my final project for Hard Surface Modeling which is one of my 3D classes. The room is based on the Nakagin Capsule Tower that is in Japan. I did several renders with V-ray in Maya and change the lighting to have different times of the day.
Everything was modeled in Maya, then textured with Substance Painter, and then rendered using V-ray within Maya.
