This evening had been particularly grueling for the barkeep. Half-rate performers, rowdy patrons, and booze consistently spilled on Eddie's shirt from said patrons had driven the barkeep to his last shred of decency. Volt could see the wear and tear slowly chipping away at Eddie like a mule on its' last leg but its' first haul. Cleaning could wait. And despite Eddie's verbal refusal, he entertained the ranch hand's request and leaned against a worn table. Volt's smile was intoxicating. "May I have this dance?"

I love your Western AU! And I'm wondering more about their horses! We know Eddie's is Whiskey and you mentioned them maybe being a grullo, but what about Volt's? I can tell they're some sort of paint. And they honestly remind me of the silver dapple Tennessee Walker from RDR2!

Eddie's mare, Whiskey, is his life-long friend. She is a plain black morgan with a white blaze. People would describe her as a good workhorse. Nothing quite too memorable other than she does her job and forms close bonds with those who work with her.

Volt's stallion, Hooch, is as rowdy as he is. He is a silver dapple tovero mustang with a bald face marking. Anyone unfamiliar with Hooch would say that he's "spooky"(reacts strongly and negatively to stimuli) but... he's just.. expressive. He knows he is a pretty horse and shows off to anyone and everyone.

And yeah! I love rdr2 !! The brindle throughbred was my main horse for my entire game. Then I came across the silver dapple pinto missouri fox trotter and fell in love (i never got it though ToT). It was a bit of a coincidence for Volt's horse to be one- I originally made it to be a plain grey/white horse but I didn't like it compositionally djalkjdlas

Early mornings were no longer a mild preamble to the heat of the sun. In the summer, it was a race to get up before the rooster or the sun made their appearance. Plus there were benefits to the adjusted routine. Chores were completed sooner, wild birds actually had a desire to flit about, and Eddie's mid-morning horse welcoming was in full view for Volt.

This summer is pushing me to wake up earlier and earlier to do my own chores so... why not have the boys suffer the heat as well.

Volt had been calm for Eddie when Eddie needed him to be. When he recounted how Scandalabra had threatened Eddie, Volt was there to listen. He was there to reassure the man who was the hum of cicadas to his own summertime twilight. It was when the twilight was swallowed by the dark of night that Volt allowed his wires to fray. No one was safe under the cover of darkness.

Follow up piece to the previous one! This may be a bit non-"canon" to the universe but i wanted to see Scandalabra get the shit beaten out of :) (Western!AU)

"I've heard whispers about your new 'Lightning'..." Scandalabra's voice cut through the hum of the saloon. Any attention given to the meandering clientele was now solely focused on the town crier. He knew how dangerous it was to speak secrets here. And Eddie knew how dangerous it was to deny those secrets.

"Welcome back, Lightning." Eddie's voice was an oasis after the long and lonesome night. Volt had grown accustomed to the routine but it never felt dull. The moment that the saloon was in view, he could count on Eddie to be there waiting. One hand open to fill the void within Volt's own, and the other hand occupied with a fresh treat for Hooch. This life wouldn't last... but he would enjoy every last drop.

Part 3 of the Western!AU for Date Everything! The boys having a lovely reunion after a long long night of patroling. Time to bring in some more cast after this, perhaps?

Despite there only being a sparse crawl of clouds in the skies above you, there's a static charge approaching like encroaching lightning storms. It takes only a moment to realize that the electricity in the air is coming from the approaching ranch hand. The look in his eyes is one of excitement and intrigue- like he's finally caught up to his prey.
