How did you find out about this roleplay? I was searching for 'new rp' tags and came across this.

What do you like about this roleplay? I like the fact that it's has quite a dark plot, a psychotic ringmaster and I, all in all, circus's. Circus's are just amazing and I love reading stories about them! Plus, I've always wanted to be part of a circus when I was younger (true story) and the fact that I possibly can with this RP yet not require much physical skills/talents, is somewhat a dream come true for me.

How active can you be? I probably would be on every other day for the weekends at night and as much as I can on weekends.

Character Name: Eli Brooks

A brief summary of their personality (5-7 sentences): After Eli died, she became a bit more social, albeit still quiet but not shy, and tries attempts to make more friends. She is a calculative person and it seems that she watches people from afar, whilst quietly judging them, is something she does for a habit. She can't handle bullshit and tries her best to stay away from certain people although it seems she would rather ignore them than cause a scene. She tries her best to gain friends but is still quite unsure due to how people acted around her in school. She does not like school at all or her malicious family. She harbors strong negative feelings for Parker Samuels even though he claims to be a changed man. They both don't get along but she tries to not let it show when on stage, in my opinion (though it would be so cool if she slowly opened up to him). She does not know she is dead.

Para Sample (in character, 3+ paragraphs, 3rd person): It was so confusing for Eli. She woke up that morning to find herself in the middle of a circus ring, the same circus she undoubtedly had been standing infront of sometime before she was pulled into darkness. She looked around bewilderly, desperately trying to see whether there was anyone else with her. She did see someone and could not help the shiver that went down her spine. He looked relatively pleasing but there was something about him that she could not quite put her finger on.

He spoke to her briefly, telling her of her future duties within the circus while the gears in her head tried to process the events that were moving far too quickly for her to cath up with. When she finally realised what was happening, she was ushered away from the ring to meet someone she desperately whished whose existance could be wiped clean off the face of the earth.

Parker Samuels.

Standing there, smirking pompously at her as she inwardly cursed the the faiths or whoever else was up there that hated her. Even after so long, you would have thought she deserved a break. Obviously not.

The next few days were mostly spent in solitude, avoiding Parker at all times unless it came for the performances or daily trainings. It didn't matter that he said he changed, she would not fall for his tricks once more. She would quietly work beside him, plastering on a fake smile for the audience so as not to annoy the ringmaster. It wasn't until a few weeks in that she decided to become more social, to get to know some of the other performers or staff inside the circus. After all, how long did she have in there anyways? She might as well try to get to know people, just not Parker.

So she tried. She opened up, started talking and it wasn't long before she started to enjoy herself. She was still quietly, always hesitating before starting a conversation, it was mostly others that started a conversation and she would always turn silent whenever someone got too carried away or when Parker came into the picture. But it was enjoyable now, it was better than being with her family or spending her time in school. And not once did she voice the strange flashbacks of white gloves or question how she got to join the circus in the first place.
