“You or Bats? You both seem equally brooding.” Ellen teased. She lead them to the bar sitting down on an old stool. She pulled off her leather jacket, placing it onto her lap before calling the bartender over. “I’ll have a beer please...” She settled in and glanced a Frank.

“So, am I the only one you are asking info from? I think Batman has a lot of friends... ad the Joker.... I think everyone in Gotham could tell you how crazy the Joker is”

“It’s nice to have someone else in the city who wants to actually do something” she reached into her pocket and pulled out a pack of cigarettes. “Do you mind if I smoke?” She said casually. “.. and I know, I need to cut the habit but… my life is stressful.” she pounded the pack against her hand absently. “Batman is trying but… I don’t know if his method is really what is right for the city. Since it hasn’t worked. Hell, most people would say we were brave for walking at this hour”

“You’re right.. Copy cat?” she offered. She flipped through all the images at least twice before settling down in her office chair. Her eyes were glued to the violent images. “What was her name?” Yin asked. “I can start with the family and friends... see if she was acting any differently.”

Former or current, Damian has never been fond of the GCPD.  If they did their jobs, his father wouldn’t need to dress up as a bat every night.  However, this was something at least one detective needed to see.

Sit at home with my dogs, if I’m to broke to go get drunk.” She shrugged. “Lately when it comes to work, it’s been a lot of “cheating boy friend this” and “baby mama does that”... it can be...frustrating. When people read Private Investigator, they assume that’s what I do... they usually pay pretty good though.”

She snuffed her cigarette out quickly. “I think I don’t have much that is interesting going on with me.” She stuck her hands in her pockets. “I’m not dating anyone, nor do I want to. I’m... just boring me.”

“On the force, no one cares…. it’s why I didn’t try and get my old job back.” Ellen said with a shrug. “It doesn’t matter if the Commissioner offered it to me on a gold platter. I won’t work for any organization that would fire me… for helping.” She shrugged, moving to her coffee maker and pouring a cheap cup of coffee into the white mug.

“So, what did you need my help with? Are you writing a book?” She was bitter and sarcastic.

She lights up the cigarette and takes a long drag. She puffed the smoke long and slow, she glances over at him. “That’s true. And it’s not like anyone would go after us.” She puffed on her cigarette again. “Or if they were dumb enough to try anything we are both proficient in, well self defense to say the least.” 

The soon approached the bar. “What else do you want to know on the Bat? Or any of his other... unsavory characters?”

Ellen’s face turned sour once she noticed the child. A child doing this? A kid should never have to seeing something like this. She looked at the picture, however, without saying anything on the subject.

“My first question is it a riddle but this doesn’t seem like Riddler’s MO.” she was more or less going through her own thoughts out loud. “Perhaps a psychotic rambling?” That may not be it but this helped her process. “I’m guessing no I.D yet?”
