I feel her story is already pretty trans coded as she hides how she really feels from her family regarding her interests and what she wants to do with her life, she also makes a point of not letting her family see anything but a cheery, obedient front that listens to mother and does as she's told. Its made very clear in her story that she feels like an empty husk because she can't comprehend and process how she feels super well and as someone who felt much the same in school as a now identified trans man, I can say unidentified gender dysphoria was one of many feelings I have since identified after a lot of reflecting buried emotions against people who felt the same way.

I also feel as though a lot of her mother's pushing and prodding is very gendered, alluding to Mafuyu as a bad girl when she was young to get her to behave. I can attest that getting constantly referred to as the wrong gender by a parent in a higher power standing even if you or that parent haven't identified your dysphoria is an infuriating experience, and the way Mafuyu's emotions get artistically portrayed through Sekai's art direction is weirdly a dead ringer for that rotten, decaying feeling in your chest living in an environment that doesn't care to see you grow into your best self, interests, emotions, dreams, or identity.

Also, Sekai gives their characters alt hairstyles for certain cards. Look at these short hairstyles and tell me it doesn't give tboy swag."

About Tabi possibly being trans (which I love and really hope is canon!!), I'm gonna push back on how the submitter's reasoning, at least part of it, is that Tabi was always into makeup/fashion and that helped her realize she was a girl. Girl =/= makeup and fashion, and makeup and fashion =/= girl!
