ive been called tsundere in every relationship i've been in and only in one was it not in an unhealthy way, in the other two it was used as a way to shut me down when i was embarrassed or uncomfortable and i never could really pinpoint why it bothers me so much when people call me tsundere but yeah all of what fin said

getting called “tsundere” in a relationship is a lot grosser than just being a shitty anime joke like i’m sure lots of healthy couples have joked around with that label and been absolutely fine but in my own experience it just means that whenever you are

angry

sad

in disagreement

trying to make a point

embarrassed

afraid

or in any emotional state other than “cute + loving proto-housewife” 

your feelings and opinions will be immediately dismissed with a “haha stop being tsundere you tsundere!!!!” 

i’m pretty sure yandere translates to “isn’t my possessiveness charming” i’m pretty sure kuudere and dandere translate to “aww this girl doesn’t want anything to do with me i bet secretly she loves me and as a side note, wants my dingus” i’m pretty sure any serious application of a stock character type that is just like your japanese animes to a real living human being is a recipe for disaster

the way jamie treated you made me really uncomfortable tbh i mean on one hand i thought you guys were cute but there was some shit she did like bringing up really personal information in public "for laughs" that made me wonder if it was really okay for her to be doing that. i wasn't sure about your dynamic though because i definitely tease my friends. and just... remember when she kept calling you tsundere. that whole episode was so uncomfortable and i'm really sorry you had to go through that.

yeah no there was. definitely a lot of information shared that made me hella uncomfortable and i would tell her not to post that stuff but she did anyways, but to be fair thats kind of been a recurring thing in friendships and relationships for me (the whole sharing information for the sake of embarrassing me thing) so i could see how she might have seen other friends doing it and thought it was okay... which time are you talking about with the tsundere thing though do you mean when i was visiting her???
