why did i get a random spike in notes on this blog . looks around all scared

Someone presented the idea to me of Omega having a robot version of chronic fatigue because he was designed to recharge with a big dangerous industrial cord but now that he's left Eggman all he has access to is a puny consumer power cord most of the time.

It takes him much longer (like 16 hours!) for him to fully recharge himself and if he misses his usual bedtime, he won't be able to stay awake the entirety of the next day. This is only compounded on missions, where he's burning more battery power anyway and has less opportunities to get a full recharge in due to urgency.

Shadow, Rouge, and Tails are the only ones who know. Shadow and Rouge had to pretty much force the secret out of him and now help him not overdo things and end up on lower power the next day. Tails came to the conclusion independently upon seeing Omega's room (and therefore his tiny little UL-rated power cable) for the first time. Tails has taken to redesigning Omega's recharge cord so that, while it still will never be as good as a full industrial charger, it can give him more power faster. He's also designing portable battery packs to give Omega a sudden boost of energy when he needs it!

i saw a post a long time ago that i can’t find but it was basically like shadow has trouble walking without his airshoes so they function as a mobility aid bc the jets on the bottom help him not put all his weight on his feet and anyways that lives rent free in my head

it's literally so sad that the phrase sonic hearing aids refers to a specific brand of hearing aids and not sonic the hedgehog themed hearing aids because if it was the second option that would be sick as hell

Vector has sensory sensitivities not only to sound but also to textures. He has to wear his headphones constantly as a sensory aid to handle being out in public and can only handle loud sounds he's choosing to play with his music. He also can't wash dishes comfortably without gloves because the bubbles on his scales are absolutely hell for him to feel.

omg I'm so happy to have found a blog with this theme!

Also: Metal Sonic with OCD. This robot has sooooo much trouble with obsessive thoughts about being "superior" to Sonic. Trying to destroy Sonic is almost like a compulsion.

Metal performs an action that he later learns had the slightest benefit to Sonic and he feels like tearing apart his own frame with his claws.

Checking locations (even familiar ones) for potential routes of entry/exit because what if Sonic shows up????
