There has not been a single day in 2025 that I have not felt weird and bad in some capacity.

believing that good can happen to you after a life of tragedy is the most painful thing you can choose. but it is necessary. because otherwise there is nothing else. you miss it all hiding

Snow-covered volcanoes on Russia’s Kamchatka Peninsula, taken from the International Space Station.
Kronotsky and Kizimen are stratovolcanoes with symmetrical cores. Kronotsky (one of the largest volcanoes on the peninsula) last erupted in 1923, and Kizimen in 1928.
North (right) of Kronotsky is Schmidt, a shield volcano that hasn’t erupted since humans began keeping records. Krasheninnikov is to the south, made up of overlapping stratovolcanoes that formed within an earlier caldera. Two summit craters are visible. Krasheninnikov may have last erupted in 1550.
Lake Kronotskoye is the largest lake on the peninsula. It formed when lava flows from Kronotsky dammed the Listvenichnaya River. There are 114 volcanoes on the Kamchatka Peninsula that have erupted during the Holocene Era (during the last 12,000 years).

i hope you’re okay after your experience you posted about earlier. ive seen both stray, domesticated and wild animals hit by vehicles and that shit is traumatizing. its really hard to like, move on from that. i also believe that it’s like the bare minimum of ‘ways you can positively contribute to humanity’ to have some sort of ability to do basic first aid and i am very very very pro-getting your CPR accreditation through a reputable program. i don’t think that’s you being an ass or getting on a high horse; we have a social contract and there are things you can do to be proactive. i carry water and basic snacks plus an emergency kit in my car in case of a breakdown and was in a huge traffic jam bc of an accident the other day and was the only one able to hand out little bottles of water to the other people around me while we waited nearly 3 hours in 90 degree heat for it to clear. anyways. sending good vibes your way.
tysm, i really appreciate it ♥️♥️♥️ i agree, & i’m so glad you’re also emergency-prepared !! you really never know when something (like … anything at all) might happen, & taking those small steps to learn/practice/prepare how to handle various scenarios goes such a long ways
#first time i had to do CPR i also panicked tbh. it sucked and i did not feel ready at all#but i was the only person available at that moment and in that case it’s very much either ‘do your best’ or ‘freeze and do nothing’#and i …. never want to be the person who could have been able to help but didn’t know how#or wasnt properly equipped or was too freaked out#unfortunately there are a lot of people i talk to who would rather just avoid it all entirely#which is fine right up until you find yourself in an emergency. then what.#asks#fuckthebassist#i appreciate you taking the time to send this ♥️#emergency kits save lives !!#& like … fire extinguishers ?? the amount of people i know who don’t know how to use a fire extinguisher is insane
